Cara Dillon performed on 21 May 2009 at the Acoustic Sussex event at The Chequer Mead Theatre in East Grinstead. My friend Malcolm was there and recorded these:

I just found this "NewsShopper" web article from 19 May 2009, in which you can hear as Cara is interviewed (telephonically) by Jon Cheetham. She talks about Hill of Thieves, record labels, touring and motherhood:
Below is one of my favourite songs ever, written by Dougie MacLean of Scotland. I'm so honoured that, when Cara introduced it while during a performance in California, I clapped so loudly that she dedicated it to me!

While you are voting for Sharon here is a great little interview of Cara Dillon with Sean Rafferty on BBC Radio 3 (only available for a couple more days):

Cara Dillon and her husband Sam Lakeman performed at Joe's Pub in New York City on Monday, the 28th of September to promote the U.S. release of her album Hill of Thieves. Here she is interacting with the audience and performing "The Parting Glass":
"The Parting Glass" is a song that was known to be sung at the parties that were held on the eve of the departure of a loved one to America. Imagine what it must be like to spend a last night with a brother or sister, son or daughter, and know that you'll likely never see them again. Such a gathering held on the eve of emigration came to be called "The American Wake." Here is short clip of a song about emigration that really pulls at my heartstrings, "The Maid of Culmore":
It's from The Redcastle Sessions DVD. Cara Dillon next DVD will be release next spring. She was filmed as performed recently at the Opera House in Belfast on the 13th of September.

Cara and Sharon were caring and sharing at the "Bandaged Together" benefit for BBC Children in Need at Abbey Road studios in September. The recordings done with an ensemble of artists will be released in late November or early December.

With thanks to David, here's a new upload from a concert by Cara Dillon yesterday at the Lawrence Sherrif School, Rugby.
"I Wish You Well" - 17th October 2009:
Cara has a new piper joining her on tour: Brian Finnegan, formerly of the famed trad band, Flook, who joins his former bandmate Ed Boyd, guitarist with Cara Dillon (also seen in the video). The previous piper, James O'Grady, recently began a hiatus from live touring in order to spend more time with his young family. Good man and an excellent piper!
She performed quite a different version of the song from the one that is performed by a gang of musicians on her Redcastle Sessions DVD (excerpt below):
