Well, I guess I do a lot of things wrong according to the atricle. We have 2 red-lighted alarm clocks, my cellphone is my alarm though and is lying next to me, no phone calls after 10pm (does skype count as a phone call???), no salty food (what about my lays!), no crime movie (I like those....)... I do not agree with the "Don't drink too much...." Last time I was drunk (had half a bottle of Tequilla by myself haha) I slept sooooo good! Seeing my hip is not letting me sleep in a way I want to, and while being drunk, I could just fall on my bed and sleep. I woke up the next morning feeling rested and ok. No troubles at all, ok the first time I woke I had a slight headache, but I just turned around and slept on.... Lately my sleeping is baaad! In the hospital, where I was Monday on Tuesdaynight, they had new beds. The matrasses were soooo hard! And all I could do was lay on my back (ok and send a nightly sms to Swanny haha) and not sleep. The woman next to me had a air-moisturiser (a thingie that bubbles the whole time, making the air that gets into her nose through a tube a bit moist) and I was happy that I had a catheter... Otherwise I would have been on the toilet the whole night. All I could do was try to sleep and listen to my MP3 player... No useful cds, no warm baths with oils... Sobs.... Well I better get to bed and see how this night will go. I am hoping for a nice Simpson dream hihi.... Sleep tight everyone!!! *huggles*

Heres some of my remedies, (1)At the beginning of the year, tHe doctor told me not to eat food two hours before going to sleep . Its been rough not snacking at night but typically I get more sleep. Also don't eat foods high in sugar or caffeine, as previous members already mentioned. Typically when I get hungry at night, thats the signal to go to bed. I'll drink a small glass, say 4 oz. of water, or anything else that makes me sleepy, just to get rid of the empty stomach feeling. (2) Excercise - make your muscles tired. Treadmill or even just running in place for three minutes may do to the trick. But don't exercise right before you go to bed, or you'll never get to sleep.

Well, unfortunately, listening to the Corrs when I am trying to get to sleep is not a good thing. you say...what I mean is my mind just gets more active thinking of dance steps I could put to the music! btw...there is nothing more difficult than choreographing Caroline's drum solos!! (have to put in a bit of modern dance ) If I listen to music at bedtime, it is usually Enya or Moya. Lately, reading a few pages of "PS, I Love You" (I try to read a chapter a night but I just don't have time these days) puts me to rest and I sleep soundly through the night.
