As I was cleaning the garage this weekend, I came across this old painting that I did when I was 15 years old. I lived at that time in Santa Cruz, California. It's not too good, but I thought that I would add my little bit to the Corrs Fan Base art collection, lol. Two different things inspired this painting. I had just read Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. From my house, I could look across the bay to Monterey, where Robert Louis Stevenson lived in 1879. The second inspiration was a new album that I was listening to called The Point of Know Return by the rock group Kansas.

Ai! WOW! The funny thing is, at first I was like "Why does Steve post one of my father´s paintings??" ´cause as a matter of fact the two of you seem to use the same technique! Really awesome. And I just love the image! Thanks for sharing this with us, Steve! And unbelievable what nice things one can find cleaning out the garage!
