Totally agree with you there! You know, playing live you can actually see how talented or how untalented someone is!

Live just sounds more natural, right? And it´s great if not everyhing is perfect. Hahaha, I remember Sharon saying once that you can easily tell that the Corrs play live because the part with the tin whistle is never perfect and Andrea was like: "HEY!"

And no-one says I'm nobody? I'm surpriced! Anyway I think The Corrs are indeed good performers live. Is Sarah McLachlan aswell? Never seen her live yet.

wow! oh, i wanna see her too. oh. BUT you have to tell us everything about the concert okay? Everything! Okay, I just got back from the concert. She is great!! She was supported by a band of two guitars, bass, two keyboardists, drummer and background singer. I had really good seats, just about 20 meters from the right side of the stage and slightly above the stage. Sarah faced us as she played the piano. Opening the concert was the Swedish group called The Perishers. Most of their songs were very good, but a few were a little, let's say, "inaccessible." www.theperishersmusic.com. Their lead singer has a high range somewhat similar to Bryan Adams. What was cool was Sarah came out real casually wearing jeans and a magenta shirt and sang one of the songs ("Pills") with The Perishers. Later at the end of her own concert she talked about how "most albums are crap with only one or two good songs," but that The Perishers' newly released North American album is great from start to finish... that was very gracious of Sarah to plug her opening act so much. Then Sarah and her band came out to a roaring crowd to start her concert. She wore a long black skirt and a shiny, sleeveless gold top with a brown peacock design. She looks in good shape, like she works out, and has muscles kind of like Caroline Corr. She performed beautifully, and she has a great sense of humor. Although her band is great and the guitar work was fabulous, my favorites were her beautiful solos at the piano, like "Angel" and "Dirty Little Secret." Here's the setlist: - World on Fire
- Building a Mystery
- Adia
- Perfect Girl
- Drifting
- Push
- I Will Remember You
- Time
- Blackbird
- Fallen
- Wait
- Witness
- Answer (solo piano)
- Angel (solo piano)
- Fear
- Trainwreck
- Stupid
- Sweet Surrender
- Possession (solo piano, then full band)
First Encores: - Ice Cream
- Solsbury Hill
- Hold On
- Fumbling Towards Ecstasy
Final Encore (for those who waited long enough ;D): - Dirty Little Secret (solo piano)
She gave two speeches, including one about how she and her husband (drummer Ashwin Sood) have a three-year-old daughter who is a good traveler and has been with them on the tour over the last 18-20 months. And she wrote "Push" for her husband as a "thank you" for putting up with all her moods. She also talked about how she writes songs. Over a long period she comes up with little bits of a song that are like pieces of a puzzle, and it takes awhile to put the pieces together to make a song. Then she said, "I'm boring you" and went on to perform "Push." It was a great concert. Sarah McLachlan is one of those performers who are in perfect form in during a live concert. It was awesome!! ;D
