I just found out about a band from the UK called Kula Shaker. You don't have to take 'shrooms to like the music. Here's a link to their website that has sound samples: www.kulashaker.co.uk/There are some sound samples. Very different than what you might expect from an album released in 2007! I think it's good stuff!!! Here's a YouTube of their song "Fool That I Am" (I don't really know how the video connects to this music):

As some of you know, I am a big fan of the Beatles and also a fan of Gaelic music. Here's a chance to see these two loves combined by Julie Fowlis, a wonderful folk singer from North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. She sings "Lon-dubh" (Scots Gaelic for "Blackbird"): HQA short film on Julie Fowlis: HQ.

I've just re-discovered their album from 1988, "Mending Wall" on iTunes.. I used to love this album.. "Chalk Circle" were a Canadian band, btw.. Hope you enjoy these couple of tracks, ..they were my faves.. Cheers, all.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XJGNNgRiuM(This track is a cover version of an old T-Rex hit some of you may recognize? )

You're very welcome, Steve.. "Mending Wall" is great.. I still enjoy the entire album, & I think some of the songs could still work today.. I've heard they're thinking about a re-union.. They have 2 other CDs besides, "Mending Wall" ..but, I don't think they're as good.. Hope you're having a great week, Steve..

Some of the tracks remind me of the George Harrison tracks on Revolver and Sgt. Pepper - very influenced by the music of India.

You're welcome, Linda. I actually found out about them from Bertolf! One of his other favourites is a group called "Supergrass" (I haven't yet explored them too much yet).

Hee Hee.. For all you "Harry Potter" movie fans.. Take a look.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijMNecILi-QI then found a whole bunch of songs he did accoustically, on iTunes.. I love his voice, & his accent.. Hmmm.. Guess nobody likes poor l'il side-kick of Harry Potter?? Too bad, ..I thought he was sorta talented there, on his guitar.. ..Ah well, tastes are often personal.. Lately, I'm listening to the latest Pet Shop Boys CD, called "Yes" ..it's very up-tempo, & happy, ..just what I need these days.. Check it out, if you like dance music.. Otherwise, ..the new Depeche Mode CD, "Sounds Of The Universe" is out on Tuesday.. Really looking forward to that as well.. Cheers all..

You know, I did watch Draco Malfoy and his Slytherin music! Haha, just kidding. Seriously, I did check out the YouTubes that you posted of Tom Riddle, I mean TOM FELTON! and he was very good, but I forgot to post my response. Sorry, Linda. Believe me, I know what it's like to post about music and get little or no response. It happens all the time with me. I think that just goes with the territory when you have such splendid and prescient taste in music ;D - it simply takes others a while to catch up, not that they ever do, ahem. I think you have a good ear for music and I always appreciate your suggestions! You are a definite Britpop fan, and I consider that to be a cool thing! Nice to have you visit again, my friend.

Linda, while I have you here, I wanted to ask your "ABBApinon" of this Eurovision entry from Estonia: HQDoes the sound of that vocalist remind you of any singer you've heard of? Maybe with initials of, say, A.F.? Methinks so.
