Let me just drop a post on this topic. I was of the believe that we already had a musical topic but I guess I must have dreamed that (either that, or I´m just blind now and can´t find the topic anymore).
So, which musicals did you see so far and which ones are your favorites?
Unfortunatly I only saw...wait...lemme count...was it two or three musicals?? I know I saw "Cats" when I was quite young and then I went to see "Buddy Holly"...wasn´t there one more? Ow, my poor brains. Anyway.
I would so love to finally go and see "Mamma Mia". My mum saw it with her colleagues and can you believe it, they wouldn´t have me go with them?! I so wish I could go and see that musical but unfortunatly the tickets are way too expensive. Also, I´d like to see "Dirty Dancing". And guess what? Again I don´t have the money for it but my mum will go with her colleagues...oh the irony. *lol*

Hehe, Musicals. WOW! I love musicals! I didn't see too many yet...they're always soooo expansive! I saw "Grease", awesome! It was just awesome! And then when I was 4th grade or something I saw "Notre Damm"... ahm...that's all for now...i guess hihihihi. A favourtite musical? Well, cannot say that i guess.....from the ones I've seen yet that would be "Grease"...from the ones i know from TV it would be "Grease" and "West Side Story"...ahm...what else? dunno. The musical I'd love to see once in my life would be "The Lion King" i guess....my Brother saw it and he was soooooooooooo impressed! I really like the fact that "Dirty Dancing" is a musical in Hamburg now, too! Hahahahaa, I can't imagine that! hahaha, they must have written songs and everything, too hihi. Swanny tell your mom to tell us eeeeeverything about it I WANNA KNOW! hihihihihi. "Mamma Mia" sounds really interesting, too. but it's always the problem with the money right? But Swanny, I'm sure you're gonna see it someday Just like me seeing "Th elion king" someday Do you have a favourite musical song or performance?

Well, Caro, from the very few ones I saw I´d say I liked all of them. "Buddy Holly" was just way cool and I was so impressed by the fact that the actors survived that show. Why? `Cause the show was in August, it was so darn hot, I thought I´d melt away. But the first scene for the actors was a winter scene, so they had to wear these really heavy and warm coats. I still wonder how they managed that. But the show was so cool, the atmosphere was way cool. In the end everyone jumped of their seats and clapped along to the music and danced.
As for "Cats", I can hardly remember that one because I was so young. But I remember that I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was so calm and dark and you somwhow were chilled to the bone but in a good way. And I remember those singers having wonderful voices.
The best musical movie, to my mind, is and will most likely ever be "Grease"!!!
Yes, I´ll tell my mum to let us know. I am not sure as to when they´ll go and see "Dirty Dancing" yet. But when she came back home after seeing "Mamma Mia" in Hamburg she was sooooo excited. She said that it was the best show she ever experienced in her whole life and believe me, if my mum says so, then that really has to have some sort of important truth to it! And I so envied her! Especially because of the fact that she got to see the ensemble that I like so much. I asked her to bring along autographs for me. But, well, you know my mum, haha. Tststs.

musicals are also expansive yes. even the cheaper ones hihi I've only seen one yet... the Starlight Express. it was in London (whoei!!) and entirely done on roller skates. even while I was like 7 and didn't get much of the text (English...) it was something to never forget. They even had a part of the bühne thru the audience, and they speeded a lot over it. as like such an express train, you see? Lion King was also on my list, did anyone from here see it? I reckon your brother was impressed, caro! If you only see these ads...

Ok, we have a Musical topic now. Did I already tell you that I´m a Musical addict?
Well, I´ve seen, wait, let me think...., ähm,...
"Grease", of course, my absolute favourite. I´ve seen it 3 times, I think, maybe even more. And I´ve played it on stage 9 times. I´ve also seen "Riverdance" (2x), "Fire of Dance", "Magic of the dance" and other Irish Dance Shows. Other musicals that I´ve seen are "Miami Nights", "Oh What a night", "Rent", "Cabaret", "Stomp", "Evita" (it´s not a typical Musical...), "Hair", a German Horse Musical called "Der Zauberwald" and last but not least, "Fame" in London.
I think that´s it, but I´m not sure. I´ve seen so many shows during the last years, that I can´t remember all the names. Especially the Irish Dance Shows. I´ve seen quite a lot of them, but I don´t know which ones anymore.
And I would really love to see Dirty Dancing this year. We planned to go there with some friends of mine, but we´ll see if that´s really going to happen...

I just went to the Phantom of the Opera in London. Though we had bad but expensive places, it was sooooo good!!! When that organ put in those famous Phantom tunes, WOW....
