*goosebumps* What a legendary voice! Thanks, Simone. I have two CDs of Edith Piaf. I don't understand much French, but so much feeling comes through her music. I have one song that she sings in English ("Autumn Leaves" - Les Feuilles Mortes) and it's the best version of the song I have ever heard.

;D ;D Thanks, cowgirl! They don't make music videos like that anymore... and I'm not sure they SHOULD! But the SONG: it's nearly impossible not to want to dance to it.

Here's another one... the intro is a bit too long, but it's a great song and he was a talented guitarist : www.youtube.com/watch?v=AratTMGrHaQOnly the good die young RIP, Jeff Buckley

Thanks, Simone, for posting the Jeff Buckley song - it's like a spiritual. So sad that he passed so soon. He earned the respect of a lot of great musicians, I learned. Somehow, I didn't know anything about him other than hearing his name a lot, always confusing him with Jeff Beck. ************* Haha - thanks for the other "Kamate - Ora Mate" video too, Simone! Is THAT how they play rugby these days??!! Wow! Your team must have exhausted themselves making that video! Seriously though, what is that video about? That's the French rugby team, right? Did the French rugby team make that as something fun for the fans? What's the connection with the Mâori Hakas war dances? I can't seem to get it to play again - YouTube seems to be down right at the moment.

You're welcome, Steve The haka is the dance that some teams played before the match, they stand in front of the adversary and do it!!! It's quite impressive !!! This year, "ka Maté" (the haka that the All Blacks do most of the time) was the Rugby World Cup hymn!!! I don't know if it's the real Blacks in that clip and I didn't recognized the french guys either... the video took place in Ajaccio (Corse) www.youtube.com/watch?v=d65yd-bmmIM

Oh, thanks for the explanation! ;D I also found these that helped me understand it all, since I don't know much about rugby: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Blackswww.irb.com/That's really interesting - I was also impressed by the Mâori warrior culture figured in the Lord of the Rings films of Peter Jackson, since an awesme group of New Zealander stuntment took on the role of the orcs. It must be very intimidating to stand there and see the opposing team do the haka! I was just wondering whether the South Africans do the Zulu dance and I found out that they DO HERE. *lol*

Thanks for the link, Steve... I didn't know about the zulu dances!!! I'm more a soccer fan but the world cup took place in France this year, it is now a passion for me !!! I don't even understand all the rules (quite complicated sometimes) and I was wondering if it was like the famous football in the States!!! In rugby, you try to move forward but you have to pass the ball behind (go figure )!!! As a conclusion : "Soccer is a game for gentlemen played by louts and rugby is a game for louts played by gentlemen" Anyway, thanks again!!!!
