Don't make fun of me , but I have a MAJOR soft spot in my heart for Vera Lynn, a British singer who was at the height of her career in between the late 1930's and 1960's. Her voice is lovely. I first heard it during a documentary film and had to find out who it was. This was in the days before the internet, so it wasn't so easy. Someone just uploaded these clips from a film made in 1943, when she was at the pinnacle of her career. I had never seen these until a few days ago: Here are some more of my favourite (some I may have posted before in different topics): "Yours" (this is the first song I ever heard of hers) "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" "Anniversary Waltz" Dame Vera Lynn is 92 years old now.

News story video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqUUiwlzkJ4 (looks like she's doing well!) Articles: Daily ExpressTelegraphI had no idea about this album when I made my first post.
