Seems like I am reading a totally different style of books these days than you galls (since Steve is reading HP and I looove those books and I know them). Though I have one more Cecelia book at the ready for my holidays. It is hard to let it lay there waiting, but I know it will give me a good time at my vacation spot. Caro, I am glad you found an internet place to share with us your current readings I am now reading a book by Dean Koontz, Velocity. A bartender finds a note under his windshield. If he goes to the police, an elderly woman who does charity work will be killed after 6 hours. If he does NOT go to the police, a lovely young blonde schoolteacher will be killed after 6 hours. He goes to a friend of his who is a police officer and they decide this is juts a prank. Buuuut this note is real and soon the bartender finds himself in an awkward situation, because it was not the last note that he gets. And because he did not go to the police, the choices he gets to make, are all intented for him to not go to the police. Because if he does so, a "more important" human being gets killed. He finds out that the killer has planted evedence on the bodies, to make him the suspect if the cops find out. It is a real pageturner and sooooo well written. Nothing too scare, more a thriller than horror. But it gets you to thinking about the choices you make in life....... Enjoy the nice reading weather everyone!

Yes, Cyn, you´re reading quite a different kind of books at the moment but i am glad that you´re enjoying them! That´s all that matters! I am reading " A little princess" by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It´s a calssic (children´s) book. Wonderfully written! It has a lot of very true statements in it. I´ll note some of them down here soon.

lalala, ok, where shall I start??? Caro, I´m glad that you´re enjoying Sophie Kinsella as much as I do. Her books are really great, very funny and she has a great style of writing. I think it´s a nice possibility for reading while Cecelia is working on her new book. Cynni, your book must be very enthralling. Sounds very interesting and clutching, though I prefer more "light" books. And, the princess book, Swanny, sounds so wonderful. I love children´s books!

haha yeah Sabine, it is not too light, but very gripping, even though it is fiction. And as said, I read all sorts of books actually. I do not like the non-fiction books though, most of the time they are too gripping for me, and even provide me with nightmares. Very silly, I can read horror and thriller books, but no real life ones without nightmares... But I sooooo wanna know who is the killer in my book. I really hate his or her guts haha..... Just 150 more pages to go. But I will surely check out the author Sabine and Caro mentioned. It sounds like she is a very good writer I will keep you posted

Great that the book turned out as another great and gripping story, Caro. I´ll read that one as well, for sure. But first I have to finish some others. Oh, you´ll read "Summer´s Child" next? That´s wonderful. I can tell you, it will be as gripping as Cecelia and Sophie. Please tell me if you like it as much as I do.

Swantje, I am reading Arnold Lobel's "Days With Frog And Toad" (an "I CAN READ" book). It's really great! I should have it finished within the week! I will share with you the opening of the first story called "Tomorrow" : Toad woke up. "Drat!" he said. "This house is a mess. I have so much work to do." Frog looked through the window. "Toad, you are right," said Frog. "It's a mess." Toad pulled the covers over his head.
"I will do it tomorrow," said Toad. "Today I will take life easy."This is great summer reading, I tell you!

While I was gone I had the chance to read a bit. Here´s a list of the books I read recently: -"A little princess" F.H. Burnett -"Letters to Emily" Camron Wright -"Dublin 4" Mave Binchy -"The undomestic goddess" Sophie Kinsella And at the moment I am reading "Can you keep a secret" by Sophie Kinsella as well. Yesterday my Amazon order arrived too. It was a package filled with six books! The four "Shopaholic" books by Sophie Kinsella and "Summer´s child" and "Summer of roses" by Luanne Rice. So, I DO have a lot to read in the next weeks. I remeber that I promised you some wonderful quotes from "A little princess" ages ago and I will post them right here later today. Promissed!
