HEY EVERYONE! BONN WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!
(Not really back yet, just so you know. I´m just stopping by. I still need to check all the photos I took, most of them got pretty dark. My cam´s not too good. But I´ll still get photos from some of the people who were with me and had better cams. One of them also made front row, he was next to the twins actually.- I just saw he registered to the board! AH! How nice, so Stefan, maybe you want to post some pics?
But I also saw that Steve and Wiku already found some pics online.
So right now, there´s only some first pics for you. I´ll post more about Bonn on Monday. )
So here we go. It all started on early Wednesday morning. I took the train from my friend´s place (in Herne) to Bonn. ALONE. My friend Annika still had to go to university and was therefor coming later, by car. Anyway, it was 11 am and I was sitting in the first train when my cell phone delivered me a first SMS from Stefan, who was already in Bonn, telling me “There´s already lotsa people here.!” AH! A second later, Jens, who was there as well, send me a similar SMS. Anyway, taking the next train, I met with Sabine and Ramona and we all arrived in Bonn at 12:57 to meet Jens and Sabrina at the station. And off we were to the Museumsplatz. Once there, we squeezed through several fans to get to Stefan and Britta who had been waiting for us. Sabine´s first impression:”There´s lots of people around, speaking lots of weird languages!” And truth to be told, yep, it was all the fans from the USA, Ireland, the Netherland, Italy, France….I could go on forever. We were not too far away from Lisa&Alisha actually, I was able to see their heads all of the time, haha. But there was NO way to get through to them. Those other hard corr fans were like a barrier!!!! I´d have loved to say hi, but well at least I saw their heads, haha. So anyway, there we were and there were a whole lot of hours to wait. The weather was AWESOME and HOT! (We all had a sunburn at the end of the day!) But we had so much fun while waiting. Talking a lot. At about 3 pm Eelke and his friend arrived as well, shortly after the sound check had started, and we were bombarded with Andrea´s voice singing “My Lagan Love”. ;D Actually the whole sound check took three, I repeat THREE, hours. Including the actual concert, I heard “My Lagan Love” about three times that day, haha.
So, half an hour after Eelke arrived, Annika finally joined us as well! And I really believe that the time went by pretty fast, even though here and there people were complaining. But hey, we had lotsa fun just chatting with everyone, it was great. The gates finally opened at about 6 pm. We all hurried to the stage. Managed to make 3-4 row. Pity our bags were controlled so long. Anyway, the support act…I did not like her. It was a German singer named Neele. I never heard of her before. Her voice was great but I just did not like that kind of music…but a couple of people around seemed to like her, which was good for her.
When the Corrs finally came on stage…the crowd just went crazy. The atmosphere was SOOOOOOO FANTASTIC! I can´t remember having so much fun at a concert, ever! The Corrs obviously enjoyed it as much as the audience did! We just had a blast! One HUGE party. Everyone jumping and singing. Andrea forgetting her lines! Hahaha! Too cute! Confetti flying everywhere around. Hehe! I just can´t find word to say how much I enjoyed that show! Inbetween I also made a phone call to Daniel so that he was able to hear a bit of the concert too!
Plus, I think I might not be a Just-Shazzer anymore. I really believe I´m a Cazzer as well now! Remember, last year when I went to see the Corrs, Caroline wasn´t with them. So I was more than happy to see her now and she was just great! All of them were!
After the concert, we all hurried to get some water! WATER! Precious water! Haha, really thirsty by then. It had started to rain really heavy by then. We went to the backstage exit. We all got pretty wet. The Corrs have already been gone as we´ve been told by one of those security-whatsoever guys. Ramona had to leave after a couple of minutes. We waited half an hour, then left as well, saying goodbye to Stefan and Britta, then to Eelke! Sabrina, Jens, Sabine, Annika and I drove to the staion to pick up Sabine´s luggae and then went to Mc Donalds to finally get some food. Then it was time to say goodbye to Jens and Sabrina, hug here, hug there…and we were on our way to Annika´s place. We had to drive really slow because it was raining like hell. And after about one hour, we noticed that our rear lights weren´t working. Honestly, it was a whole lot of fun, three girls trying to repair them, we had several bursts of laughter. But still we were aware of the fact, that we could have had died that night, if there´d have been another car or truck not seeing our car…I guess we still had the Corrs luck with us. While driving home, we received an SMS from Eelke that some of the band still came outside to sign photos. I think it were Jason, Anto and Kieran. Sabine and I were more than depressed that we were already on our way home. But still we all knew it had been a great day.
The next morning we then had to say goodbye to Sabine who took her train home. I myself arrived at home a couple of hours ago.
I am really happy everyone got along so well. I enjoyed talking to everyone, meeting everyone. It was FANTASTIC.
Okay, more about Bonn and more pictures on Monday!
But before I leave again I shouldn´t forget to say: THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE WEDNESDAY SUCH A FANTASTIC MOMENT OF MY LIFE!
