Yeah... I also have troubles sleeping.. *yawns* I suggest pills... LOL!!!! ;D As a last resort, of corrs... I find, a warm soothing bath helps. an hour or so before retiring.. I like those relaxing bath gels, which have camomile, & certain types of flowers in them, known for their relaxing properties.. Have you ever tried, "Healing Garden" products?? I love those.. Also, those relaxation CDs help, as was mentioned... I like listening to waves, or rain falling as well.. I have one from the amazon.. You can hear a rain storm, and bamboo creaking.. It's really cool.. Otherwise, I too have been known to be on line at 3am, writing emails, or chatting on msn... I guess it's quite common...

Haha, yes, oh the irony.
I read a very interesting and insightful article about possible reasons for not being able to fall asleep and how to prevent them the other day. If I find the time I´ll scan it for you and post it here.

I will do that either tomorrow or on Saturday.
Unfortunatly I can not tell you how not to have weird dreams because lately I am having THE WEIRDEST dreams myself. I had always had some weird dreams but not as weird as the ones I am having now!!! Seriously, for example travelling in a space ship with the Simpsons can´t make much sense...

Talkin' bout weird dreams, can I join the club? Too bad I can never really remember everything, but sometimes I just wake up with a "Whu WHAT?" and it is so hard to fall asleep then... Because I just try to remember all that happened inmy dream, though even if I remember, when I do fall asleep again, I just forget most of it again.....
Wishing everyone sweet dreams!

Here are the scans of the article. Sorry that it is in German. Caro, you´ll be able to read it though, I guess, haha. It basically tells the reader about facts concerning those things that have an influence on our sleepig abilities. -The light of the alarm clock will make our sleep less deep. -Crossword puzzles before sleeping a no-no! -Wrong colours in the sleeping room like red are to be avoided. -Salty food before sleeping, hell no! -No crime movies! -Don´t forget to eat some sweet things. Not enough sugar in your blood isn´t too good. -Don´t have your cell phone too close to your bed. Plants in the sleeping room? Maybe you sould remove them cause they´re "steaing" the oxygin. -Fragrances like those of a lotion may irritate you. -Please no phone calls after 10 pm! -Remember to eat some fish or meat. -Sounds that may provoke nightmares can be e.g. the dripping noises of a faucet. -Are you maybe allergic to mites? Go have that checked! -Don´t drink too much before you go to bed. -Uncooked vegetarian food will desturb your sleep! Also interesting: -Counting sheep will not make you sleepy. It is so boring that your mind will automatically wander off to your problems. -Caffein is no sleep killer for many people! Especially young women who have a low blood pressure should drink a cup of coffee before going to bed. Tv documentaries about this topic on German tv: -Nov 12th: 7pm: RTL II -Nov 21st: 9:05am: ZDF internet: weltderwunder.de/wdw/Mensch/Gesundheit/Schlafstoerngen

Well, if you avoid all the things that kill your sleep, maybe you do not need any methods anymore? I have to admit I kind of do everything wrong. Haha, starting with having a bright alarm clock light and keeping the cell phone next to my bed! Bad Swanny!

I can´t. Because I use my cell phone as an alarm clock. Now you may say: "But why? You have an alarm clock!" Well, the thing is, my alarm clock does not work anymore for some reason. It shows the time but it will not wake me, which is why I use my cell phone alarm (And as you know that is "I know my love"...so Andrea Corr is singing every morning...somehow, "I know my love" is not so much fun anymore, haha.).

Wow... Lots of useful advice... LOL!!!! ;D ;D ...I don't have wierd dreams about being on space ships with the Simpsons tho.. ha ha!!!! ;D Maybe you shouldn't watch that program b4 retiring?? I dunno... ha ha!!! Try a warm bath, with some relaxing, aroma therapy stuff in it... Then, a nice glass of wine, or voddie... Works for me... LOL!!!! ...I don't have this "Celtic Awakenings" CD... Mine is Dan Gibson's "Solitudes"... Sweet dreams, all...

HAHA, how cool is that! my CD is also by DAN GIBSON! hihihihihihi...but it's "celtic awakenings" hihihihihihihi ;D. SWANNY: try another alarm thing and put the alarm-clock-terror-cell-phone at least one meter away from your head, you'll still hear it . BUT GUYS: do never watch a ROD STEWARD DVD before you wanna go to bed, hahaha, it's way tooo funny! hahahahaha. did we already have boring science books?
