Well I have a digital camera now since a couple of months..but didn't had time to make a lot of pictures and I didn't went to some great places to take some pictures..BUT two weeks ago I had a big fan meeting in The Hague..and the evening ended with fireworks (there was a kind of competition between countries). As I noticed I have this special thing on my camera to take pictures of fireworks..I had to try it out of corrs. Okay they are not the best photo's I ever taken..but they came out quite well..so I wanted to post them here. Hope you like them and it was the first time trying out to take pictures of fireworks..and it was quite hard to know when you exactly have to take the picture lol.

I also have some pictures taken in Ireland when I was there ten years ago..at that time I didn't had a digital camera (if you could already buy them 10 years ago?)..so I took some photo's at that point with my old camera without knowing how they would turn out and they are probably less good than if I had taken them with a digi cam but there are few I really like..so I will post them here..unfortunately I can't remember where they were taken. I think this one was taken at Donegal..a little place where we spent two days. I just loved the little village near the water I really love this picture..and it is my dad filming at the same time somewhere in the evening...where we had dinner and they served some good fish there This one was taken on the way back to our sleeping address after the dinner (picture before)..and I can remember that this was the evening where mum and I were annoying dad with playing the tin whistle in the car all the time *lol* I have no idea where it was...but I just love the carrage and horse walking on the road Hope you all liked the pictures.

Oooh!! Those fireworks pictures came out great. I like how they show movement, rather than being just a frozen instant in time. Thanks! Also, the Irish pictures are beautiful. I really love the one with the horse-drawn wagon. That certainly was a gorgeous evening, the one during which you and you mum annoyed your dad with the whistles *lol*. ;D

The Weather Started Getting RoughThis was an incredible moment in late February 2006! I arrived at this vista point near Monterey, California just as a gale-force storm hit. The wind was so powerful that I could barely stay on my feet. The Dimming of the DayThis is a peaceful moment that greeting me on the first night of a trip to the seaside in October 2006.

Here are a couple of California road pictures that I took through my windshield while driving home. There's a stretch of Highway 101 just south of San Juan Batista that goes through this impressive eucalyptus forest. Yes, eucalyptus trees are native to Australia, but they seem to like it here, mates! The hills east of El Camino Real are only green from about February to May, depending on the rainfall. This year, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has officially declared that California is in a drought.
