I'm not sure but I think Caroline uses a different Bodhràn in "Haste To The Wedding" and in "Old Hag". In "Haste To The Wedding" it sounds hollower.

Oh woops, I remember you told me that and I promised to listen to both songs to analyse! I forgot about it! SORRY. Well, it could also always be that she uses a different technique playing the bodhran...

i agree with swantje because i've made my bodhran have a different tone just by moving my left hand around on the inside. the sound is just barely different. she's probably playing different rhythms also. that can change a song a lot for the bodhran part. in both songs it is also necessary for the bodhran to play a certain part so it could be that she plays louder and softer in the two songs. i'm leaning towards the hand movements though because that's how you make it change the tone.
