A company called Rhino Records will be releasing the 12-track edition of the Corrs Home CD on 7 February 2006: www.rhino.com/store/ProductDetail.lasso?Number=73217The Home EPK (Electronic Press Kit) is available at HERE at the Rhino Records site. Despite it being long overdue, it is something to be happy about here in the Corrs-starved U.S. The Live in Geneva concert DVD is being released here as well but WITHOUT the All The Way Home: The Story Of The Corrs documentary.

*yay* for the USA finally pickig up some Corrs materials again. Even in "less" versions than our European ones, you will still be able to get some Corrs stuff in an easy way now.. I mean, seeing all the troubles some of you have and had to go through, just to get a cd or dvd by the Corrs.... Sometimes it is really unfair, I mean, I just walk into the store, grab the Corrs item I want, pay and take it Home. But it is great news Steve!!!

Hey, I think the Home Microsite (and "ecard") is really nice: www.rhino.com/flashcards/thecorrs/I bought my U.S. copy of Home last night from Tower Records. I like the early efforts by Rhino. If you go to the Tower Records ( www.towerrecords.com/) right now, you can see that Home is featured on the home page. I hope that Corrs Fans in the U.S. can help propel the CD into the top 20, for then it will make the Top 20 racks.

This positive review of Home was released today: The Corrs Have Done It Again With New Album Home 02.03.06 (2:23 pm)
I received an advance copy of The Corrs' new studio album Home and was very impressed with the band's ability to make even a hip hop lover like me hit the repeat button over and over again.
Home is a collection of 13 traditional and modern Irish songs that will feed any music lover's need for something completely outside the box. The album includes traditional Irish music that is at least 1,000 years old in addition to music written by Phil Lynott -- late frontman for Thin Lizzy and a fellow Irishman. Home will be released on February 7, 2006.
My favorite tracks are "Black is the Colour" (track 4) and "Moorlough Shore" (track 8). The entire album is a collection of easy listening tracks that will help you completely unwind after a day of dealing with stupid co-workers.Not bad, especially coming from a "hip hop lover"! Source: SistersTalk

I went out to my mailbox during lunchtime today and inside was the U.S. edition of Home that I ordered from Tower.com delivered a day before the schedule release date of 7 February 2006. There's a little white sticker on it that reads: AN IRISH SONGBOOK The Corrs return Home to the songs that inspired them, bringing new interpretations to traditional Irish songs. And on the back of the CD (and I don't know if this was the same on the European CD... but it WASN'T on my Japanese version) it reads: As the titles suggests, The Corrs are back to fond beginnnings, defining a journey that began 15 years ago. It is a record close to the band's heart, compiled through a songbook of the late Jean Corr and brought to life by an urge to bring new intrepretations to traditional Irish songs.Even though I already had my Japanese edition, I bought Home to do my part to boost U.S. sales.
