Very interesting. Two things come to mind.
1. Can reason Sharon's involvement on a couple of fronts. At previous 46664, apart from appearing with the group she also appeared independently apart from the group (Everyone's Gotta Learn Sometime - Zucchero, Brian May, Roger Taylor ..... and Mrs Bonnar). She also has significant Sth African involvement thru the Niall Tobin Trust.
2. Can also be viewed thru the scope of a public return by the Corrs over the next 12-18 months. We saw Caro join Andrea in some of her Spanish gigs last year and maybe this is Sharon's.

Sorry, Scott, I didn't see this post that you made way before mine. I locked my other topic. Reading the link I saw ( www.46664.com/294/), it seemed only that the Corrs had been INVITED. Reading your link, it seems like they ARE PERFORMING! ;D It's an encouraging sign that Sharon will appear with Andrea, yet I would try to "stay on an even keel" and not get overly excited yet about the prospects an imminent return by the Corrs. I think it very possible that Sharon might wish to have another baby. Let's just enjoy seeing Andrea and Sharon do their bit for the Mandela concert. Exciting!! ;D

Yayy, great news from Corrs family! ;D
I really wish so bad to see Sharon and Andrea on that event. Maybe there will be a confirmation from them about The Corrs comeback in 2009. I'm very exciting about it! ;D

No problem Steve-I wasn't sure where to put it. I sure hope they perform because I'm sure there will be a dvd released and we can finally get some solo Andrea stuff on dvd.

HERE is the latest list of performers. Amy Winehouse has joined the list. Whaddya think? Are we sure that Andrea perform together with Sharon? They probably will, I think. Assuming that they perform a Corrs song together with, say, Zucchero, Brian May and the House Band, what song do you think they'll play? Maybe they'll perform "Borrowed Heaven"?

Dave from Corrs Club said that Sharon wouldn't be there to perfomed coz personal reasons. I dunno if it's true or not. I just hope everything is fine.

Only caught 2nd half of it on the box. Saw Andrea singing a Freddie Mercury number with Brian May backing. Saw her in the final group number but no sign of Sharon and only Andy listed on the credits.
Then again, I' m not getting any younger and my vision (like most other things ain't what it was) ....... and I could well be wrong.

No, you're right, Wombat. Sharon backed out for personal reasons. Photo: Jull FurmanovskyAndrea performed "Is This The World We Created" with Brian May on accoustic guitar. YouTube is HERE. Perhaps it wasn't Andrea's greatest vocal performance, but the message got across and that's what is most important in this situation.

Oh, ..Thanks for the pics!! I tuned in to the concert.. Was abit disappointed with Annie Lennox.. in fact, the whole concert in general.. "Simple Minds" was about the best act, imo.. Unfortunately, I left the room for a few mins & managed to miss Andrea!! ..I waited *bored* thru the whole thing, waiting for Andrea, & I'd missed her!! *is still kicking self* ..I saw her dancing, near the end, ..that's all.. ;D Oh well.. I'll tune in to the youtube video.. Thanks for posting it, Steve.. It's too bad about Sharon pulling out.. I was looking forward to seeing her perform again..
