Hadn't noticed her on Twitter but have now found her. Yes, she WOULD do well to take a leaf out of Sharon's playbook. Interestingly with Ms Twitter Global, there was another comp that has just finished (started straight after OUR's finished) and all the Top 4 were Irish; the best known being that irresistable force Mairead Nesbitt !! (came 2nd I think).
Re Tara, she definitely deserves wider exposure. One problem that I forsee in the near future is the unavailability of her favourite accompanist who is likely to be "under the whip" of another lady of his acquaintance. Another small female may also enter the equation which is likely to have the poor guy muttering "why don't they just clone another me" ! Still I reckon the pecking order should be Shaz then Tara .... and tough luck shorty !
The phone call Anto, Keith ... and probably Jace dread receiving "Hey guys, it's me Cazz, I was just thinking ....... hello guys are you there ? ... hello ?" .... as they then abscond to whatever safe haven they can find from three wilful, devious, manipulative ..... but occ adorable females of their professional acquaintance.

Yes, I do think that Anto will be busy! Though the EPK went up on YouTube, I'm not sure if the album hasn't already been released and run its course. Stylorouge was involved quite a while ago (as you can tell from this topic). Tara's Twitter page hasn't been active since April. Her music certainly deserves more exposure than it has received thus far. The Ireland competition is certainly not as heated as the UK one. With little more than 100 votes, we already have her at this point among the finalists to make the next level. It would be cool if she were to win it.

An effort was started to show our support to Tara Blaise: tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/ireland/ms-twitterSo far, it's just not getting enough support. I thought that we would make a clear statement that we're behind her, but this isn't happening right now.

I'm so frustrated with the effort. Most of the time, I am the ONLY one voting. It's just incredible, this apathy. We didn't gain any ground and there are only 5 days left. We SHOULD be able to win this easily. It's such an easy (and supportive) thing to do, but everyone leaves it to someone else to be the one to care (to quote a song). I'm disheartened. I feel let down. I was trying to do something to help her, not make her feel worse - with it seeming that no one cares. CAN SOMEBODY HELP? ?!!!!!!!!!! tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/ireland/ms-twitter

Hate to have to do this, Steve, but I'm going to bring you up short here !! As far as I've been able to, I've tried to keep up with some voting but it's a little difficult when you're involved in a convention.
More importantly, quite a few hours have been lost due to 2 instances of Tweeterwall maintenance (and these came during my peak voting hours where we could make some inroads). Also 3rd place DID see us make our move & was able to react.
Let's also remember .... people are dealing with massive doses of "voter fatigue". I'll continue to vote as much as possible .... but let's keep a little perspective here.

I'm sorry, CW. It's just a moment of frustration at the end of an evening in which I had voted solo, unassisted for several hours. I didn't mean any criticism of you, Wombat. You should enjoy your convention.
This particular round shouldn't require any where near the kind of sustained effort that it did when Sharon was in the running. If we simply had casual voting from a couple dozen people - maybe even one dozen - we'd be fine. That's what makes it so frustrating.

Oh wonderful!!! We have Simone voting too!!!!!!!! Thanks! It looks like it's going to be very close, but I think we have a good chance to get Tara Blaise to the top in this round.

My last vote was with less than 20 min to go and she has a lead over over 130. Congrats to Ms Twitter Ireland for August

Yes, it's a done deal now. Goal accomplished. Thanks! I'm suffering voter fatigue. And yet Tara is now entered in the 14-day continental competition and I'll try to help: tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/continental/ms-twitter-europeShe still hasn't tweeted since April and only gained one follower during the first competition. (What did JH say about it never being easy for Tara?!).

The top 4 in this Continental contest are off to the races and leaving everyone, including Tara (currently at #6), behind.
I've been trying to vote, but the site had beens plagued with a lot of technical problems that have prevented me from "catch-up voting" during sleepy time in Europe.
Even with a small handful of voters, we might still manage to pass Tara on to the next level. The major difference between Sharon and Tara is that Sharon was aware, tweeting and involved. I'll keep trying to vote for Tara when I can, though.

Sadly, through not having major label backing/promoting her, Tara has never been able to establish any real international profile beyond Ire/UK. Granted, there is a degree of Corrs flow-on support due to the John Hughes link. Maybe she COULD learn from Sharon's experiences but Sharon had an existing fanbase to draw upon/energise .... which she has done unbeleivably well.
Yep, have noticed the system foul-ups. Methinks a Europe Top 10 finish is likely and a good result, some possibility of a Top 5 should one of them fall asleep.

I had to take a break from voting - and during that break she fell to #10. I think she's a shoo in to advance to the next round after which I will to send a message to her Facebook fans to see if they'll make decent work of it. I don't think it's having much of an effect. It does appear that Tara Blaise must not be at the right time in the promotion cycle to capitalize on any Twitter successes and she still hasn't tweeted since April.
