hola!!!! you knew that about me!!! hIhihihi!!! First time I got to know Blackmore's night, was when there were the notes of "Mondtanz" in my guitarists magazine. hehehe. So. And the ugitarist, Richie Blackmore, is also ratehr famous...I think, hihihi, because he was the guitarist of Deep Purple! And then one day he left the band...guess he didn't get along with them anymore aaaand founded his own band called: rainbow. That's where he met Candice Night...she was a backround singer. And Rainbow had several hits, and I like them, too. "Since you've been gone" "long live rock'n'roll" and some others. yep,and then, after Rainbow, he founded together with Candice (boht are a couple as far as I know) the project: Blackmore's night. And they play old music...or music in the style of the MIDDLE AGES. I really really like their music. it's something really different then from the rock and pop groups you know at the moment. I reall ylike them

well, I own only one. I have "Shadow of the moon". I love this one! I learned "Mondtanz" from it for guitar. It's a real masterpiece and reeeeeally hard, but after almost a month of hard practising I was able to play it hihihihi Which albums do you have?

I went to the record shop last night. I came across a new album by Blackmore's Night called The Village Lanterne. It was on sale, so I decided to get it, based on recomendations by Eelke and Caro. I like it! It's different than the normal type of music that you will find. There's a song on there called "Street of Dreams" that is really nice and features some great guitar work by Ritchie Blackmore. (Actually, I went to the record shop intending to look for some Katie Melua stuff, but it was way too expensive! )

I have been introduced to the music and so far it sounds good.... Wish I could play guitar like him (or like Caro ).... But if you really love the music Eelke, would it not be better to just buy a cd of him? There is a Swedish site www.cdon.com they have a cheap postal rate and sometimes the best cd's on sale (ask Steve if you don't believe me...). And they are fast..... Maybe you can find some cheap cd's there for your collection.... But so far, I love the music!

That's the nice thing about this style of board - you're never too late to add to a thread! Unlike the CorrsClub, the posts will stay at the board for as long as we want! Yes, "25 Years" is great, though I really like "Street of Dreams" too.

Okay, i'm late here but I've just discovered their music a few months ago, a brazilian Corrs fan told me about them (thanks Ivo ). I've listened to some of their music online and really loved it. "Shadow of the Moon" would be my favourite album, but "Fires at midnight", "Under a violet moon" ("Catherine Howard's fate" is awesome ;D) and "Ghost of a rose" are not very far behind . But, for now, can't find them on local stores
