Now honest, who´s watching it as well? I am watching it EVERY YEAR, ´cause I am such a fan! Actually most of the music is horrible (LOL) but I just like the whole tention and thrill. To find out which country is the winner. This Saturday the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 will take place and I am soooo excited!!! YAY! YAY! As alsmost every year I must say the German entry is...um...well...not so good but let´s see how will do. This year it is a girl named Gracia singing the song "Run and Hide", which I don´t like but it´s...well, it´s ok...and if she won´t get stage fright and if she sings the way she usually does then she should do fine.

By the way, I usually end up voting for the Netherlands. *lol* Hehe, so much about countries voting for their neighbours, haha. OH NO I´d never do that! *lol* Last year however I voted for Russlana (Ukraine) ´cause truth to be told, they HAD the best entry. I even bought the CD! Haha, it´s just a very powerful song and I am glad it was the winner song.

so cos YOU didn't vote for us, WE're out? I heard today on the radio we didnt make it to the finale, so I was thinking *oh, so thats why there was so much eurovision stuff in the media*, I didn't follow it. I'm glad you say the music is mostly crap cos I really think so aswell hahaha! And the Dutch artist also always sucks

I honestly don´t get why the music has to be so crappy each year! I mean, even Ireland´s entry for this year was horrible. (They also didn´t make it to the final.) They all could do way better than that. But I still ove watching it soooo much. Hehe. Sorry to here the Netherlands didn´t make it to the final this year. I´d have voted for them again! Gladly Germany does not have the problem about having to go through a semi-final, ´cause it was one of the founder-countries of the Eurovision. So we´re in the final anyway.

I think I'm gonna watch it tonight too. At least the votings... I'm listening to all songs right now. Swanny, if you're interested... www.ndrtv.de/grandprix/teilnehmer/index.htmlCheck out the songs... After listening to all of them, I especially like - Denmark - Bosnia & Herzegowina - Israel - Turkey - Rumania - Ukraine - Malta I remember Chiara from Malta performing a song at the contest some years ago. I love her voice but I don't think that this kind of music is something that people want to be in this competition. Unfortunately. In my opinion, Chiara is a great singer.

We Americans never hear too much about the Eurovision contest. But there was this ONE Eurovision group, though, that did pretty well...

ABBA! YAY YAY! ;D ;D ;D Hehe. They were GREAT!
Oh, don´t forget Celine Dion, you do know Celine Dion in America! She won for Switzerland years ago...I mean Switzerland sometimes has the annoying habbit to have artists from totally different countries singing for them. Like this year they got themselves Vanilla Ninja who are from...um...Estonia?? And now live in Germany....and Celine Dion is Canadian, right?
Thanks for the link Melli!!!! I´m so looking forward to the show...it´ll start at about 9 pm, right? That means I got one hour for today´s meeting before the show starts.

I'm gonna watch it. I'm a huge Eurovision Song Contest fan so I watch it every year. I'm really sad that Finland didn't make it to final. Finland's song was called Why and it was performed by Geir Rönning. Finland never does well in the contest so I'm not that surprised that Finland didn't make it. But because I think that Geir is an amazing singer and the song was quite good imo, I hoped that Finland would have at least made to the final. Now that Finland is out I'm hoping that Sweden, Norway, Malta or Israel is gonna win.

We are also out, it's so unfair that the big countries don't have to face selection I'm for either Germany, or if Belgium is still in, Belgium.

Oki, we all know now that Greece won, which I hate, ´cause I did not like the song and I truely believe the artists were very...arrogant.
I voted for um three countries (I find it hard to decide for one. So I voted for three.). For Latvia (Those boys were just...the song just touched me!), for Moldova (YAY YAY, great fun.) and for Bosnia&Herzegovina (`Cause they totally reminded me of ABBA! And I love ABBA.).
Hey, do you guys remember 2002 when Latvia won? I really loved that artist. I was so happy that Latvia were great again this year.
Oh, Malta was nice too!
And we, Germany, were the last!!!! Imgine that. It probably never happened! But we pretty much sucked, th´s true. *lol*

I'm not happy either that Greece won. The song was ok but there were better songs that should have won instead. I voted for Israel, Malta and Norway.

I'm also the fan of Eurovision. Last year we were second, but now we're 7th! Generaly, i didn't like my country's song too much. But Helena Paparizou (Greece) is AWESOME!!!!!!!! I'm sooooooooo happy she won!!!! I adore that song!!!!!!! It's really in Eurovision 'spirit'.
Helena was Serbia's guest in the end of March, i think. It was the first time i heared her song, and right away i said: "This is gonna be Eurovision winner!" And, as you all see, i was right! I just adore that song, aldo i think she copy Ruslana's last year style. It's ok for you not to like her, but i adore her! And Swantje, Vanilla Ninja are from Switserland.
;D ;D ;D
