Hey, guys! ;D I thought that those three women from Texas deserved a thread. We talked about them already and I still thank Swantje for letting me know about them Natalie Maines (lead singer and guitarist) Emily Robison (banjo, dobro, accordion.... and many more, also backing vocals) and her sister, Martie Maguire (fiddle, mandolin, backing vocals). They have been in the country charts since their debut album "Wide Open Spaces" in 1997. Today, I'll put a video of that album... it was hard to decide which one but I've finally put one of their Top Of The World Tour video fr.youtube.com/watch?v=3DJ3MssiNgYSee you for the next album

Hey, that's great that you started a topic here! Yes, they're very talented musicians and they have superb harmonies. I still don't have any of their albums, though.

Yay, I've bought it some months ago and I also got their Top of the world tour dvd... it's really awesome! "An evening with the Dixie Chicks" is a concert where they perform their album Home (one of my favourite, but their last one "Taking the long way" is not far behind)! Here's one of their best song "A Home": fr.youtube.com/watch?v=GqkZxwedFg8

Thanks Simone! Really great music! Here's one of my favorites - a sad but beautiful song called "Travelin' Soldier": www.dailymotion.com/video/x2by58_dixie-chicks-travellin-soldier_musicNatalie has such a crystal clear voice! Although there differences in the genre of music, there are some similarities between the music of the Dixie Chicks and the Corrs.

Thanks for the vid, Steve... yeah, Travelin' Soldier is an amazing song (I could say that for all their song ) In 1999, they released the album "Fly" with many great songs... some of my fav are Heartbreak Town, Let Him Fly, Sin Wagon or Ready To Run... For that album, I've pick the video for "Goodbye Earl" (always a great tune in concert, the fans sing that one like Runaway for The Corrs . fr.youtube.com/watch?v=GovJ4jAnr14P.S: you may recognize some actors in the video (including Adrian Pasdar, Natalie's husband and Dennis Franz a.k.a Andy Sipowicz from NYPD Blue). Enjoy! ;D
