Yeah, well, the vocalist can´t sing like Andy (who could? ). But the instrumentals songs, they play very well.... Yeah I know what you mean about the lead vocals - a bit pitchy at times - but overall it's great stuff (bodhran, guitar, violin and tin whistle) and they're having fun doing it. They have excellent harmonies. I thought they did a fantastic job on "Haste To The Wedding" in particular - I was expecting the "one-two-three-FOUR!" after the guitar and bodhran solos, hihi. Do they have a large following? I wonder how many tribute acts are out there throughout the world. I know some tribute acts (like those for ABBA) have quite a following. The Corrs sooooo need to get to Brazil someday! Thanks for letting us know about Dundalk. I listened to all the tracks.

Hi, Steve! Thanks for listen! Yeah, they do the "one -two -tree -four" at the gigs....But in portuguese (um (1) - dois (2) - três (3) - quatro (4), If they have a large following? Well, they´re not famous or something like that!!! They´re just some friends, Corrs´fans, playing for some another Corrs´s fans.... But they do a lot of gigs. In pubs, most of the times.... And they´re not alone! There are some others bands here that play Corrs songs... A band called Merrow plays it too! Take alook at these videos: Dundalk www.youtube.com/watch?v=vv96F7FZ0Z8Merrow www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMOMfoQLIOYBig hug!

Tribute bands are always a good idea to spread the good music... If only there was one around here, I'd be better...

Very interesting. There is certainly some instrumental talent present with Dundalk(esp with the violin) and they blend quite well together. Do agree with the comments regarding the vocals. She is more than a little "pitchy" but I do grant that we are judging against artist(s) who have stamped their mark on these numbers. Not sure about "Caro" with a beard tho !! Merrow sounded quite good.
Interesting that there seems to be a latent Corrs fan base in Brazil. I know that Brazil is Portugese speaking rather than Spanish but they certainly developed a major base in Spain and areas like the Philippines. I DO recollect a Brazilian act recording a cover of "Don't Say You Love Me" back around 2002-3.

Yes, Katia, thanks for the Merrow YouTube - they're very, very good. I'm sure if the Corrs saw this, they would be very pleased to see their music being loved so much in Brazil. I assume their is a Celtic connection to Brazil going back to Portugal. I remember reading that the Corrs were very close to performing in Brazil during In Blue. I think that a fan even posted a picture of a poster for a gig that never happened, due to Andrea's ear problems (if I recall). Others disputed that. Still, I'm sure that it would have been a great idea to tour there in Brazil. I've rarely, if ever, seen a band that has such a fervent following throughout the world. This band is taken to heart literally all over the globe, and it's not just confined to the Celtic diaspora, either. Such a shame that they've never toured South America and haven't been to Asia and Australia in seven years.

[quote Such a shame that they've never toured South America and haven't been to Asia and Australia in seven years. [/quote] Well said!!! It´s amazing, but the labels just don´t promote them in here. All brazilian fans found The Corrs just by chance, I guess.... `Cause they aren´t played on radios, tv shows or anything here.... Such a great band like The Corrs have the potencial to be as famous as U2 in Brazil!!! Anyway, untill they show their beautiful faces in here, we´ll have fun with these talented Corrs fans like Dundalk and Merrow. Thanks everyone for watch and listen!!! Big hug to all!
