On the progress so far, I would have to give Sharon maximum points for her business savvy. Certainly, her reknowned charm is very evident with both the tone and content of her "messages" but it is her awareness that impresses me.
The Corrs were clearly aware of their "net fanbase" during their "glorydays" and the fact that she has chosen to pre-empt formal publicity/media and tap directly into their residual market speaks well of her smarts and may well pay dividends at the cash register; be that in sales, interest leading to potentially wider release than planned , her appearances.
This is just one of many reasons why I am considerably more confident about Sharon's effort than Andrea's.

Yes, the recording labels cannot be relied on to put money into hardly anything these days, so I applaud Sharon for engaging fans directly and utilizing the internet for her benefit. The music recording industry has too often focused solely on how the internet hurts them and failed to see that it also has a good side: the ability to appeal directly to the fans like never before. Good on Sharon for knowing this. Great news thx Nyoman! Yeah Steve it seems Sharon isn't afraid to give us info before official news comes out. maybe she is releasing the album on a private label so she can have more control in releasing news. I'm glad she is playing this summer because i am planning my trip to Ireland at the moment for June. That's fantastic that you're going to Ireland, Scott! I know you've been wanting to do that for a while. Hopefully, Sharon will be quick to announce her tour of Europe, so you'll know whether she'll be in Ireland while you are visiting.

Some big news.
Not only has Sharon's website been given a facelift with new colour scheme and artwork .... the picture MAY be the album cover.
Click the player and you are listening to the album cuts of both "It's Not A Dream" and "Smalltown Boy". They are everything we hoped they would be ...... and stand in stark contrast to the obscenities inflicted on Andrea's work by that supreme poseur MISTER Nellee Hooper.
Take a bow, Sharon ...... and one hopes you've given an enormous hug to Fiachra, Anto, Jace, Keith and the rest of her team. Only a few numbers per year get a "WOW" response from me .... and Smalltown Boy has done it !! Have been alerting a number of Aus industry contacts .... and will be doing more tomorrow Aus time. If the rest of the album is of THIS quality, one hopes she DOES get good intl distribution because this could be a "stealth" success in a number of markets.

The site looks great and is being well-maintained. Obviously, not just thrown together and abandoned as was the case with Andrea's. The music is really great. Do we know about the record label yet?

The singles were only posted for a short time onsite but one thinks they served a purpose by giving us fans a clear incentive to seek out her releases. She advised on the ITV (UK) "This Morning" show that the first single should be released on @ 2 weeks. In the UK at least, that will be "It's Not A Dream". A forum has been added to her site www.sharoncorr.com/forum/
