That was her 13.00 performance on the main stage. Her second performance will be at 18.30 on the acoustic stage.
Herself has been active on Twitter today.
before first gig:
"Just about to go on the main stage at the Isle of Wight festival." "It's the first of two gigs today... Like a number 57 bus, you wait ages to do a gig then two come along at once!"
Post-gig:
"Wow! What a buzz that was, loved being back on stage" "You can catch me on the acoustic stage at 6:30 if you're here #isleofwight"

Fantastic! Thanks, Wombat! The emerald colour looks good on her. Any reports of whether Anto and Keith were onstage with her? Did the set list in Session 1 include any of the new songs? I'm confident the second session will include some of the new ones.

Set list for first show: 2 new songs, 2 Irish instrumentals, So Young, Radio & Smalltown Boy. Here is a clip of So Young www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEp9B5hcmjw&fmt=18Anto definitely there and surprisingly front of stage !! The drummer WAS a hairier than usual Jace but no No Keith !! Interestingly, the bald guitarist stage left on the Gibson was almost certainly Conor Brady (Anto's sub when on Genesis duty & RAH). Apparently, SHE had a couple of Andrea moments and got songs mixed up !! Thought So Young a tough choice. I know she wrote it but it probably calls for more vocal power than she's got. It's also a bit jarring to hear different backing when the Corr sisters' harmonies are so ingrained. Yet, in it's way it worked. Personally, I'd 've gone with QOH as the "big" Corrs number. Maybe easier on her vocals and the "guitar jam" generally rocks the joint.

Thanks for the information, CW! It's a good performance and she does look remarkably comfortable, considering how momentous it is (or seems to us) to see no Andrea on "So Young". It's a tough one because of the comparisons. Andrea has made the song one of her signature performances with all her ability to work the audience. Not that the backing vocalists are terrible or anything, but it is very noticeable that there is no Caroline - and no Sharon - to sing those pristine backing vocals. Still, it's great to see Sharon have a chance to sing lead on "So Young". As the songwriter, it must be gratifying since, countless times before, she could only mime along. Good that Anto was there. I think you're right; that does look like it may be Conor Brady. I didn't recognize Jason in there. I'm looking forward to hearing some more of the new songs and the second performance.

I think you're right; that does look like it may be Conor Brady. I didn't recognize Jason in there. Yup, it DID really bring home how distinctive their vocal sound was ....and its texture. It will most definitely one of those "Ahhh" moments if one of her sisters (quite possibly Cazz) joins her onstage at sometime. We saw it in Spain with Andrea's show ..... the crowd reactions told the story. I think Sharon's show will be much stronger in it's own right but still ... when that extra voice kicks in ... Definitely Conor Brady; the guitar he is playing (a vintage Gibson ES-335) is one of his "sig" axes. Interesting and rather pleasing he did this. Some Sharon sweet-talking or maybe Anto calling one in from a mate ? Perhaps some goodwill from the TOC days ? Jace (with hair) takes some recognising but the same blue kit gave it away. No reports on the 2nd gig. London's Daily Mail, in it's pictorial wrap of IOW, DID have a snap of Herself labelling her "the Green Queen". Well, she DOES give us her own "royal wave" and the look she often gives her brother would suggest banishment from the kingdom or at least a spell in the dungeon. A backstage snap of Her Royal Highness She has taken time off from her royal duties to post the following Tweets for we peasants: "Back in Dublin. Loved, loved, loved it. Ready for Glasto, 7.30 on 28th! Back to studio to record more tracks....." "P.S. Thanks for all the votes..." Th latter refers to the Ms Twitter comp on Tweeterwall. Her subjects on the net have been industrious in her cause.

Attention all ye peasants !! A Royal Communication Hi Guys,
Apart from a thousand million butterflies in my tummy I had a fab time at the Isle of Wight! It was just sooooo much fun to be back on stage, singing, playing and getting great feedback from the audience!
Back stage there were a lot of friends from Corr tours and it was great to catch up and have a laugh.
Musically we all felt we had a good gig and the acoustic stage was quite magical between us, probably because we we’re more relaxed the second time round! There’s absolutely nothing to compare to the buzz you feel on stage and the beautiful harmony between people working together to create something special. Thanks to all the band for being wonderful.
Thanks to those lovely familiar faces who turned up to support us!
I read your comments everyday and can feel your encouragement and enthusiasm, so keep ‘em comin!
Roll on Glastonbury!
Lots of Love,
Sharon xxxP.S Right now I’m back in the studio to put down four more tracks and as I write this there’s some beautiful magic going on in the background! Some backstage snaps No mistaking Jay from this one. Billy Farrell is the older guy with the flat-top, Conor Brady in front with phone cam and Anto (with fave axe). The guy between Jay & Anto is familiar somehow but can't put a name to him. Her T-shirt reads " Everyone loves an Irish Girl". Yes Sharon, we do .... even bossy ones !! "Thank you SO much, Jay. I just KNOW Cazz has been coaching him on how to piss me off !! Things one must put up with !! The Rolls is in for service .... but a golf buggy ?? Really !! some small fan clips from IOW www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJjBPPjd6ZIwww.youtube.com/watch?v=5QLlf-uqBbc(instrumental) Personal taste I know but I'm already liking this effort FAR more than Andrea's.

My! My! Sharon is busy! That is great to see. The incongruity of seeing Sharon Corr on a golf cart! Haha! The new instrumental and the new song have me curious. It's not easy to gauge them from the short LQ fan clips. I see that Sharon has a page on Flickr now, too! www.flickr.com/photos/sharoncorr/It has photos from Windmill Lane in Dublin (recording sessions) and from the Isle of Wight (" if it's not too dear") - sorry! Beatles tune stuck in my head.

These are NOT official and at least one is of dubious quality (hunger distracted cameraperson) but here are 3 complete songs from IOW. 1."Dream of You". Sharon provides her own "Andrea moment" at the start. A certain guitarist is given a little leeway on this one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOG8WqhwK102."Ears Painted On" www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7jQ3jdFfRY3. "It's Not A Dream" - v dodgy quality. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GocLUKv8ZYThink there may be some tinkering with the arrangements as they go forward ... as there always is. On listening to this performance, I can safely say that these b-vox WERE NOT those used on the recording of It's Not A Dream. In further news, a Tweet from HM The Queen may give heart to our Brazilian fans. "It's my intention to get to see you all in Brazil. TOTALLY amazed how many fans I have there. Sxxx"

Thanks, CW. Quite honestly, the tracks themselves seem quite promising, but the performances were not 'nailed down' yet by the fledgling band. Obviously, this kind of shaky, poor audio quality, fan-made concert video (during the band's first time out) does not make for an ideal first audition of any new song. I really loved the Windmill Lane version of "It's Not a Dream" and feel that it far surpasses this Isle of Wight concert version. Similarly, I strongly suspect that the other songs were sold short by these YouTubes. I think that the studio versions of "Dream of You" and "Ears Painted On" will far surpass these. They will likely feature Sharon playing her own violin and singing her own backing vocals. That's my impression, being as honest as I can as a huge fan of Sharon. Having said that, bless this "YouTuber's" heart for letting us see Sharon perform! She looks great. Clearly, the band was not in perfect form yet, gigging for the first time. I think that Sharon is obviously still busy with the recording sessions and, when that's done, she and the band will devote more time to rehearsals. Even the best and most talented of bands start their tours and tend to 'gel' and sound better as the tour progresses.

This was really great! ;D I am so happy for the Brazilian fans. Ever since reading a Brazilian's post long ago about the Corrs tour in 2001, I've been rooting for them to get a Corrs concert. A concert by Sharon in Brazil would be very exciting, even for a fan from California!

Anto looks thin on the first pic. Not really, looks the same big solid unit he's been for years. Mind you, spending less time in the company of J.Corr & K.Duffy would most likely see a reduced beer intake so you MIGHT have something !

Even the best and most talented of bands start their tours and tend to 'gel' and sound better as the tour progresses. Most definitely !! Just look at the Corrs and the metamorphosis of many of their songs. Mind you some of them like SY & WCID proved to be "take them anywhere/play 'em anyway u like". Tis a shame we haven't any clips so far from the 2nd show as, in her own words, "we were more relaxed the second time round" It will be interesting to see the finalised make-up of her band; both in personnel and instrumentation. Would definitely like to see the wayward Mr Duffy in there; we missed HIS bassline in SY (as I suspect his little brother did too). Am not sure about the viability of the extra violin/strings although I could definitely go with the 2 guitars given her familiarity with both guys. I suspect Anto will be her principal accompanist (hence front of stage), esp for some potential acoustic performances. I see "It's Not A Dream" as being very much an acoustic number, both with the recording and performances. I see it best presented in intimate settings where she is not having to "push" it across. Ultimately, I see it very much as a Corrs number and it may find it's optimal setting with 3 ladies sitting front of stage (ala ATLITW/DSYLM). The final arrangements of the other two songs certainly need some consideration, and I think Sharon needs to decide just how she wants to pitch them. I do think she could have some fun with "Ears Painted On". It has an interesting vibe to it ... almost "country/rock"; perhaps she could get a lend of Caro's WCID hat and wear it with style !! It could end up working very well live .... hence my vote for the 2 guitars. I'd also vote in favour of the guitar solo with "Dream of You". So far, I've actually been impressed with the "mix" of numbers so far. INAD is beautiful, and I would expect a number of basically acoustic items but an entire album full would be an overdose. Personally, I thought TFH was too much of the same but then again I found it getting into a genre for which I have a low tolerence. I've made the point re the guitars because they have added an extra edge. As long as they complement the numbers (and not overpower), I say she should go with it where appropriate. Sharon saw at close quarters just what our friend Mr Drennan added to a number of their songs so she should have confidence in his taste (or Conor's for that matter should she use him). In short, some of her key collaborators are people who can deeply enrich her music (Anto, Fiachra Trench for a start) without overwhelming HER vision.
