As well as carrying out his usual role as loyal, unflinching ... and overworked accompanist for Sharon; the Corrs "axeman in residence" was also a participant in one of the accompanying seminars held as part of the show.

Even the most casual music fans not familiar with the name of guitarist Anthony Drennan are almost certain to have enjoyed his work, as Anto has provided his scintillating skills to a stunning array of high-profile artists over a lifetime as one of the top session guitarists at home and abroad.
Among many musical adventures, Drennan has been The Corrs’ guitar-player of choice for their albums and tours, and has also been a key member of Moving Hearts’ return to the fray as part of their Unfinished Business 2009 tour. Drennan also attracted acclaim for his work with Genesis as a guitarist and bassist during their live gigs in 1997/98.
Even prior to that, Drennan was renowned as a hotshot guitarist with the uncanny ability to adapt to a variety of musical styles and to apply his musical gifts to the service of the music he played. Over an impressive career he has also played with Clannad, Paul Brady, and countless of other top bands and solo performers, including adding tasty guitar and mandolin lines to Davy Spillane’s acclaimed Shadow Hunter album.
I have have two points to add to what has been said in the article. Firstly with reference to the "scintillating skills; those he certainly has but more importantly his instrumental virtuosity is matched by his musicianship. My final comment would be that if I were looking to hire a lead guitarist as a sideman and I had "free rein" to choose; the first two names would be Steuart Smith (with the Eagles) .... and Anto Drennan.
