Well, after I got Corrazy (Swanny can be very persuative into letting you hear Corrs' songs... She even send me an introduction to the Corrs cd ha ha ha) I listend to all terir albums.... I made mp3 versions for my car stereo and stared cruising Well, have to drive 17 km to work and 17 km back so I got some time every day... Just me and my music ha ha ha.... But I am trying to tell you that I don't really have 1 favorite song since this BH is my favorite album! I really love all the songs on it.... But the first song that I hummed all day at work was "Even if..." Still playing the album in my car ha ha ha! Love, Cynthia

Which is so funny because I very well remember that when I first listened to "BH" it was "Even if" that got stuck inside my head (Though "Long Night" is my fav song from that album.). I think "Even if" is such a wonderful, uplifting song! And a love song! Since when are love songs uplifting? Usually it´s "just" calm and slow songs. It´s different with "Even if". It can make you SMILE! ;D

You're right, Elisa, "Long Night" is definitely on my list!
It's fascinating how the music in the song ties in so well with the lyrics. The first 30 or so seconds of the song don't even sound really that sad, and Andrea is soliliquizing on how it "doesn't really matter" and "it couldn't be that hard to live alone" etc., but at the 30 second mark, the music takes a defininite turn towards the minor key, beginning with "but I'm all, all alone again." It's really brilliant in my opinion because that's the way emotions really work - they hit and they ebb and flow like waves, and both the lyrics and music of "Long Night" capture this effect so well. And Andrea's vocals are so poignant!!

Yeah Long Night is DEFFINITELY a good one, but Even If is still a song that can lift my spirits up when I need them lifted....... And you are right Steve, I never paid any attention at the seconds during the songs, but it does all changeafter 30 seconds....

Borrowed Heaven may have lacked the "knockout single," but it's a solid album, with every song being an excellent one. My favourites tend to change. One track never mentioned by many people is "Baby Be Brave" and I really like this song. It's actually one of the Corrs songs that drew me in and made me become a Corrs fanatic. I love the rhythm of the lyrics - very unique.

Well I bought this cd recently..and almost playing it non-stop ;D My absolute favourites are Humdrum and Borrowed Heaven...somehow these songs have quite an emotional effect on my, probably because of the lyrics. Oh and Baby be brave..great song also. Even though I like all the songs..and listening to Silver Strand brings me back to the memories I had when I was in Ireland

Steph, you picked good ones. I like the fact that you picked "Baby Be Brave" too, since I like it very much too, and I think it's underrated. "Borrowed Heaven" must have been great to see live - with the big lambeg drum covered with confetti. "Silver Strand" is such a gorgeous instrumental. Finally, I really like "Humdrum" as well, since even now, years later, the lyrics have me thinking. I love the harmonies at the end too.

Yeah well I have to say...I don't think that it really matters how old the songs are..I think that the lyrics of a song can have a special meaning to you..depending on your own state of mind. I mean like now I can really get into "Humdrum" and "Borrowed Heaven"..because of the way I am living and thinking at the moment, but maybe in about 6 months I can feel different about it. Not saying I will not like the song anymore, just having different feelings with those songs. However I have a feeling those will always be my favourites along with "Baby be brave" and "Silver Strand" from that album Okay and now I am rambling lol
