Sharon was over the moon to have English guitar legend Jeff Beck play on her album track. Both she & chief publicist R.G Bonnar have been a tad quiet on the Twitter front when they sprung the following little surprise on us. Sharon made a guest appearance on stage with Jeff during his concert with Eric Clapton at London's O2 Arena in front of 22,000 fans. Quite clearly they must have "clicked" on a personal/musical basis and this was a wonderful gesture by Beck. Appearances (and any such publicity) is not going to hurt her case pre album release. Shaz appeara at @ 3.00 in this clip. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwNx-SG_vr8As usual, her "main man" was present & in fine voice. Even more noticeable was the return of Sharon's signature move. All of us who thought her FNF "back-arch" may have been retired due to growing physio/chiro bills have now had their fears dispelled.

Yes, an amazing performance of Mna Na H'Éireann ("Women of Ireland"), which she is to repeat tonight, as I understand it. It put me to mind of that otherworldly feel that I get when Sharon plays "Haste to the Wedding" (Part I). There's something in her technique that is distinct from straight classical technique that makes it so Irish and captures that "sadness" that Bono has said is a hallmark of Irish music.
Here's an 'embed' of the video:
Can't wait to hear the album version! ;D
