So, Jason still appears to be part of the band and I guess they´ll keep him, won´t they?
I am not really sure what to think about Caroline´s new role in the band. I mean, one part of me´s really happy ´cause she´s closer to the fans now, playing lots more bodhran and all...the other part of me still says that Jason´s drumming just isn´t what we know from Caroline. It sounds...I don´t know, it sounds harder...it´s not the typical Corrs sound. Still I like having a second Duffy in the band....

When will we also get a second Drennan? I did like it, there was more Bódhran and so, and more Caroline on stage which I really loved. and jugding the yells, I think many more! How important is it then that Caro plays the main drums I wonder. for me, it's not ver important. But aqs Swantje also says, the sound is like a bit harder. but not really much BUT nevertheless a little difference.

Yes, a lot of them liked it, Eelke. The crowd was just going all crazy when Caro came to the front of the stage! Wooohooo! Seriously overwhelming!

Yeah. reminded me to the LDR concert. remember when Caro did start to sing in No Frontiers. Oh that was soo warming But do you like it in overall, or actually not very much that caro is now more visible? I really do!

I love the fact that she´s more visible now! As said the only think I don´t like is that the drumming sounds harder now.
And yes, was sort of a LDR feeling when they all cheered when Caro came to the front of the stage. Also when she started singing "No Frontiers"! Just wow!

I am very grateful to Jason Duffy for filling in for Caroline, but I do hope that Caroline goes back to being full-time drummer.

so Steve, what would be Jason's role in your perfect picture?

so Steve, what would be Jason's role in your perfect picture? Eelke, I don't presume to know the answer to that question. I haven't heard a whole lot of Jason's drumming, so my opinion doesn't merit much worth. I think the Corrs (and the Duffys) will work it out, and I will be content. At this point, we can only speculate on whether this arrangement is permanent or temporary.

yes ok. but as you said you hope that caro goes back to normal drumming as she did before the last tour, then I think Jason wouldn't be in need anymore. That's what I meant to ask.

Why Jason Replace Caroline? Did Caroline feel sick? If we talk about skill, i think Caroline is better than Jason. and female drummer is very rare lately. At least, if Caroline can't play the drum for the next concert, she's better take the piano or keyboards. She's the master of ''RUNAWAY''

I have to agree with you, Wiku. Jason Duffy seems like a great guy. But after watching the performance of "Breathless" at the Live 8 concert, I really felt that the "spark" that Caroline's drumming gives the song was missing. Maybe it's because, during the recording of "Breathless," Mutt Lange was very particular about how he wanted to go with the song. I remember that the "In Blue" documentary (that comes with the Lansdowne Road DVD) mentions that it took a lot of takes before Mutt Lange was satisfied. I know that they did take after take.
But Caroline brings magic to the drums, and I would like to see her continue, if at all possible.

I think that Caro is the better drummer. with her being the drummer it makes The Corrs stand out more because they have a female drummer. if Jason continues to be the drummer then they will start to be viewed as just another band. Jason also makes Breathless sound different and I love the way that Caro plays it.

To join this hot discussion about Caro's position in the band I have to say: I agree with Steve and the rest that Caro is better on drums. Well, I don't mean that she can play the instrument better than jason, what I mean is, that Jason was a very good replacement...but now that caro is ready for drums again I think she should take her old position in the band. I always enjoyed seeoing a girld on drums! And btw, that was also somehow something special about the band THE CORRS. 4 siblings and all on very important instruments. One can't play without the other one. One sibling can't be without the other ones. but a not so important instrument like percussions or something wouldn't be THAT important anymore...and that's kinda sad. The way she plays the drums...and the way jason plays the drums...that's always a matter of taste. What also comes to my mind is: what was on "Wetten, dass...??" this German gameshow, they performed at the beginning of 2005? Caro played the drums. The Corrs were in their normal positions...Anto and Keith and the Corrs. so? that's what I'm rather confused of...
