Ooooohhhhh, you´re sooooo sweet to open a thread like that for me. You just know me too well and know how I love talking about Ireland, hihihi. Thanks a lot for that thread, Steve!!! Ireland was absolutely awesome!!! We had a really great time, the weather was fantastic: lots of sunshine, blue sky and only 2 hours of rain in 7 days. That´s sooo good. The birds were singing all the time, the flowers and trees looked beautiful... it was wonderful. We did 2 tours around the country. One day we went to the Cliffs of Moher. We went by train from Dublin to Limerick and from there we went by bus to a castle called Bunratty Castle and then on along the Galway Bay to the Cliffs and then in the evening to Galway where we went back on the train to Dublin. It was a great day, the Cliffs are absolutely stunning. The other day we went on a tour through the Wicklow Mountains (that´s the mountains near Dublin). As it had rained the day before the mountains were partly covered with fog, which looked really cool. There were great mountain lakes to be seen and the tour guide who was as well our bus driver was really great. A very funny guy who knows a lot about Irish music, music in general and about people. We had a very good chat with him. He introduced us to some very great Irish music, not only by telling us about it, but also by playing it to us on the cd player he had in the bus. Very good. We spent the rest of the time in Dublin and its surrounding, visiting lots of museums, galleries, etc. and also having a look at the great nature around Dublin. I took lots of pics that you gonna see very soon, if you like and I will for sure tell you all about the holiday at the next meeting. So, who´s gonna be there next Saturday?

Thanks a lot Linda!
As soon as I find the time I´ll post some pics of my holiday on this board, so that you can all see them.
Oh, the meetings aren´t secret ones. We used to have a meeting of members of this board every Saturday evening at 8 p.m. Central European Time (sorry, don´t know what time that is for you). So everyone from this board who wanted to join the meeting and had the time for it came online and we all chatted along in a special thread on this board. This section is to be found under "Members Meeting". But now this meeting has turned from a CFB Meeting into a Skype/Yahoo Meeting of a circle of friends that we know from different sites on the internet. It´s sites like the Lisa Chappell sites, the Rebecca Lavelle sites, MySpace, etc. So, it´s quite a big group of people by now. The meeting still takes place at the same time, every Saturday at 8 p.m. CET. So, now we don´t meet on this site anymore but we meet on Skype and Yahoo. In the end we mostly end up having a very funny Voice Chat on Skype with people joining us from all over the world. Not everyone joins every Saturday, depending on if they have time that Saturday or not, but you will find quite a lot of members of this board there. Steve, Caro, Daniel, Swanny and me are there quite regularly and Cynthia as well. And in the meantime other people whom you also might know from other sites have joined us, like Marc from Australia, Stephanie from the Netherlands, Katie from Canada, etc. You´re very welcome to join us. It´s always a lot of fun and we would be happy to have you around.

Hey Sabine..yeah the voice chat/meeting was really great.
What I wanted to ask you have you been visiting some castles when you were in Ireland? When I was in Ireland we spend two nights in two different castles. One was actually a prison in the old days..and there were still bars in front of the windows..that was really cool lol.

@ Steph: Wow, that definitely sounds really cool. We have visited one castle while we were in Ireland. On our way to the Cliffs of Moher we visited Bunratty Castle. It´s a rather small one that dates back to the Vikings and Normans. But as all of it´s interior wasn´t original, but from the 18th century it was more like a museum than like a realy Norman castle. There were only a few rooms that could be visited and it´s definitely not possible to live in there. It was really cold in the castle ;D
So, which castle did you stay in? It must have been really great.
@ Linda: Yes, I´ve got your mails. Thank you soooooooooo much, it´s awesome.

@ sabine: ehmmm...think I have to ask my mum and dad lol. It was quite a long time ago..maybe they know. I know a family owns it and they turned it into a bed and breakfast and geesh...they are really how do you say...well if they speak to you..they seem to think higher of themself..if you get my grip. Not really friendly actually...but well maybe being wealthy does that to you

Do you remember the name of the company? Also do you think it would be hard to get to mountain trails in the area.

You can find that tour we did of the Mountains on this website: www.coachtoursofireland.com/index.phpI hope this helps you. There are loads of other companies offering similar tours, but this one was really good, I can absolutely recommend them. When you´re in Dublin you can find brochures of all the companies everywhere you go: in hotels, restaurants, pubs, etc. There are different brochures on basically everything you can do in Dublin itself and around Dublin, as well as in the rest of the country. The Dublin Tourist Information Centre is another great place of help. They help you with everything, they know everything. Everytime I´m in Dublin I go there to ask the strangest of questions and they always know an answer, that´s amazing. They also help you with the booking of the tours, etc. I´m quite sure that you can also do mountain trails there, probably even guided ones, but I´m not so sure about that. The Tourism Office will know for sure.
