Yes, it's been crazy spending my evenings with a kitchen timer constantly set at 20 minutes. It's been fun, though, and nice to see Sharon voted ahead of some other names upon whom the media has lavished much attention. B.S. might be okay, though, since it says "The Winning Artist and 10 runners-up." That adds up to 11, right? My hope is that the support for Sharon has earned her some new fans. She's definitely a worthy "Ms. Twitter" - I've seen her page and how much she works at try to answer everybody.

It's over and done ... (but the heartache lives on inside ... sorry just channelling a little BeeGees "Emotion").
The Tweeterwall voting has ended. Sharon finished a very creditable 7th making it a clean sweep of Top 10 finishes in all 4 comps in which we were entered. A number of us no doubt also spread round voters for other contestants .... and it was actually quite nice to receive a DM from Team Hayley Westenra thanking us for our help in her getting 3rd. A number of us (esp from OZ) had been sending votes her way for quite a while .... and we found out that some of them were returning the favour for Shaz.
It WAS tiring .... and we really should hit Sharon for the therapy bills for our poor worn-out voting fingers !! Still, Sharon HAS gained considerable publicity from Twitter and these comps. Her Carpool appearance came out of her Ms Twitter win !!
More importantly, it has helped to bond her net fanbase behind her project. Congratulations & sincerest thanks to EVERYONE who got involved wherever in the world you may be .... you have every reason to be proud not only of "our" acheivements against major competition but also in the way we've done it.

Yes, it's quite amazing (as I discovered when watching the Carpool episode) all that came out of that silly competition! It was very encouraging to see the dedicated fan support. I was voting for Hayley Westenra, too. I was very impressed with her singing on Celtic Woman and wanted to see her do well against the 'poppier' performers.

Hayley is definitely one class performer ... and it will be interesting to see how she & her voice matures. I actually don't mind Pink ... there's a lot more substance to her than the generic pop princesses (she's been having a wonderful time down in OZ in recent months).
Ah, so you like Celtic Women ?? Definitely a well crafted show but a very good one. Those girls can all sing .... and that ultimate showstealer Mairead Nesbitt (what IS IT about Irish female violinists !!). Interestingly their "house orchestra" is the very same Irish Film Orchestra that served the Corrs oh so beautifully in Unplugged & Live In Dublin.

They're fantastic!! Yes, I do like Celtic Woman (with some small reservations about the presentation being a bit over-saccharine). Great talent, though. I really enjoyed Hayley's performances at Slane Castle, such as "Scarborough Fair". I also really enjoyed Órla Fallon's singing. Máiréad Nesbitt is a wonder to behold, the way she dances and plays. I've learned that Australia has a young 15 year-old talent Siobhan Owen (originally from Wales) who seems a natural for "Celtic Woman, The Next Generation." I understand that she only started playing the harp recently but her soprano is amazing considering her young age of 15.
