Shaz's official site has just posted 2 songs on her YouTube channel. Rather than footage of the actual performances; they have combined the audio tracks with fan's artwork. The results really are quite beautiful and speaks well for Shaz & crew that they are open to this level of collaboration with the fanbase. The songs are: It's Not A Dream www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz7wIwe6IEQ&feature=subDefinitely the best live performance of this song. Clearly she has gained more confidence with time & she sounds far more relaxed & is not "tightening up" & rushing/forcing the high notes. If anything, she has dropped her pitch slightly which may be a positive move. Go Your Own Way www.youtube.com/user/SharonCorrOfficial#p/a/u/1/_042_RLcTQILove it !! This could be a great number for her on tour. It's not a bad fit vocally for her & friend Anto is given an opportunity to strut his stuff ... love that outro !! IF we were to see the Corrs back together, this REALLY should be part of their setlist. I'd probably keep Shaz as lead but with the 3 sisters together ... ;D

They are very good performances, once I get past the fact that it sounds as if I'm listening with a metal pail over my head. After some of the well-intentioned but very LQ fan-recorded YouTubes made at Isle of Wight that I felt were not doing Sharon justice, I made a decision for myself not to listen to any more of Sharon's new songs if the sound isn't good enough. I prefer my first exposure to be from the album itself. But bless the fan's heart for providing us with this - otherwise, we'd have nothing. I figured that I'd listen, since you mentioned the outro (which IS very good) and had not heard that "Go Your Own Way" is going to be on the album. Sharon and band do a very good job it. In a live setting, Sharon cannot sing her own backing vocal harmonies on the choruses, which are a strong suit of the original Fleetwood Mac version.

I accept yr point re sound quality of most fan clips. Generally, I factor that into the equation when evaluating especially if it's a newer number and make my call re it's potential (1) whether the number fits the artist (2) any potential plus points. Have done a little burrowing and have found the "context' for these clips. Here is the thread from over at Shaz forum. www.sharoncorr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=555Gav DID record the entire set but his videos aren't up to it. SO, they've decided to solicit fans with some artwork to combine with the audio tracks taken. Whilst certainly not broadcast standard, it isn't TOO bad. Re Go Your Own Way; she did play it to warm response at Glasto so I suspect it WILL form part of her live set. Very much agree re b-vox, if she contracts a good female backing singer (maybe Roberta Howett) to her outfit & maybe dragoons one of the lads (maybe Mr Duffy) with some finetuning, this could really be a highlight of the show. For the reasons we've both discussed; this would be a great cover for the Corrs

True, I've heard many worse recordings, and the good thing is that it isn't covered with a lot of chatter from the audience as they await the next act. (I've seen a lot of those whilst following other artists on YouTube).
I figured you to be making allowances for the limitations of the audio when rating the videos. As I looked more closely at the source of the recordings, I found that they were recorded with a video camera by the Gavin himself from a position of quite a distance back from the front of the Odyssey Arena. Peter from the official forum didn't feel that the video came out well from that far back, but he had a lot of requests for the performances, so he put it out to the fans at the forum to come up with artwork/graphics for the noteworthy audio. The fans at the forum did a nice job, I think.
