The website for the show of Ellen DeGeneres has said ( bit.ly/62xjSn): Sharon ( ) and Gavin ( ) are definitely in favour of the idea. I don't recommend that we spam Ellen like fans of some other bands have done. It's not a vote contest where more necessarily wins. We just need to convince Ellen and/or her people to take a good look at Sharon's music, so be as persuasive as you can be in order to convince Ellen and her staff to look at Sharon and her music. You are encouraged to repeat **; just don't bombard pointlessly - make it count!

The K-Pop fans have positively gorged themselves on "spam" which may indeed prove counterproductive. Am not 100% certain but at least one of the bands they are pushing has had some nasty copyright problems.
It is not necessary the volume but rather the quality of the nominations that is likely to clinch the deal ... we CANNOT win this by force of numbers but rather by "playing smart" & selling Shaz as well as we can.
There ARE no guarantees but we DO have a quality product to sell. Points to push:
- The Corrs were a legitimate intl success with 35mill + sales worldwide. UK, Ireland, Western Europe, Australia, Asia - 2 Grammy nominations INCLUDING 1 for Sharon's instrumental Rebel Heart. This could resonate with American minds. - Since going solo, played major UK festivals at IOW & Glastonbury. Recorded duets with Spanish artist Alex Ubago as well as involvement in major UK Christmas charity Children In Need - Push her enthusiastic commitment to new media such as Twitter & how she's actually received media approaches via Twitter. Highlight her website & YouTube channel. Voted Ms Twitter UK Jun 2009. - Further to that, highlight her active engageeeement with the Corrs intl fanbase via Twitter, v-logs etc.
Again, we may not succeed but if Shaz CAN get on Ellen, then it will be a massive bonus in reaching mainstream US audiences. The US was always going to be a longshot, especially without major label backing BUT she just might get the attention of certain folk ...
