Hey all I took photos of some of my artwork today! Sorry if the photos are a bit blurry sometimes. This is acrylic colour on wood: This is acrylic colour on canvas. The iris is mad out of "soft" paper coloured with pastelic colour, the pupil is made out of plastic. Behind it there´s a photo: This is acrylic colour on paper background. It´s a scene from the tv show "Roswell", Michael&Isabel kissing: This is acrylic colour on paper background. A scene from the tv show "Charmed": A drawing of Amber Benson. Acrylic colour on canvas. I did draw Amber with a permanent marker:

Wow, Swantje, those are all GREAT! The first two, especially the second, remind me of the eye of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings. I think my favorite is the scene from, ehem, "Charmed*", LOL! ;D I have never watched that show. One can sense the emotion involved. You have been given many gifts, literary and artistic, and I thank you for sharing both with your members!

Glad you like them ;D
And also you don´t have to have watched "Charmed" to like or dislike a painting of a scene from that show. *lol* So that´s okay.
I kinda like messing around with acrylic colour. Hehe. I´m not so good at drawing with pencil...

I like black & white painting, mixing the colours up a bit so they turn different shades of grey...I also love to have all black&white with some red in it.

I like black & white painting, mixing the colours up a bit so they turn different shades of grey...I also love to have all black&white with some red in it. Those are sad colors. Like a Van Gogh's favourite colors at his early career as an artist. Why don't you try to draw with orange and blue, or green and red?

You can consider the colours sad. But that´s not always I think. To me black&white are very beautifulas well. They can show innocence and fragility...
I also did some pictures with brighter colours...but I never tried like bright read and yellow and green...mybe you´re right, maybe I should. But I have to be in a bright mood if I want to do that... I´ll let you see once I did something new.

Yes, I mostly paint based on my mood. I did a simple one today, using different colours. Partly ´cause you considered using different colours and also ´cause I felt sorta "green" today. So I came up with a very simple one that I like non the less. I call it "Swallow the moon" it´s acrylic colour on canvas. Green flames on light green background with the moon, and what you can´t see is that there actually is silvery glitter around the moon as well. The foto of this painting is not too good. Sorry for that.

Thank you for liking it Steve! ;D Yes, I did that in one...afternoon that is; about two hours. Well, since it´s a pretty simple one it did not take too long to paint it. It takes longer however to do paintings like the "Charmed" or "Roswell" one above. Those took me a whole night each (Don´t ask me why I did not paint them during the day. *lol* Long story.). The fist painting I posted here took me about four hours if I remember well and the second eye took a couple of days actually because I had to make the pupil out of plastic first which was not so easy. I took a CD jewel case and put it into boiling water to then form the pupil out of it. Tricky. *lol*

Here are two new ones. The first one is a painting a made for a friend of mine. I took a photo of it non the les so I am now able to post it here. It´s called "Resistance" And I used both acrylic and pastelic colour on canvas. And the second painting is called "Warmth breaking free", acrylic colour on canvas. I did this with different colours since Wiku said I should try brighter colours!
