I don't know if I read this on here or on IMDb boards but does Sharon sing this song? Or is it Andrea? At first I always thought it was Andrea, if it's Sharon, she sounds awesome on her own too!

"Dimming of the Day" is one of my favourite tracks from Home. This is indeed partly because of its rarity in having lead vocals from Sharon, but ALSO because, on its own, it is a brilliant performance and recording in so many respects. I like so many things about it even from the opening orchestral depiction of nightfall.
I think the song HAD the potential to do well on the U.S. Country charts but, once again, the diversity and hard-to-categorize nature of Home was its own worst enemy from a record promotion point of view, sad to say.

And I answered your new thread before I read this. You're exactly right about the decision on singles. I don't see any emphasis put on singles in the U.S. record industry any more. To get the BH singles with the special acoustic versions (that I love, by the way), I had to order imports from the UK. But to have these more "raw" acoustic versions, it was worth it. Other than the BH singles and the WYBH single that I was fortunate to win during Andrea Day, I don't have a real singles collection. I'm now seeing there are many versionsss of Corrsss sssongs that only appeared on sssingles, and now I wantsss them! Precioussss!!

I agree that something should be done to allow the public to HEAR the music of the Corrs. The radio stations here in the U.S. won't do it, except for an occasional play of "Breathless." That's why MySpace would be a great place for the Corrs to promote via "online word-of-mouth" rather than depending on radio.

That would be wonderful! ;D Who from the country music world would you team her up with?
Hey, I was just watching CMT and watched a replay of the CMA Awards and saw Carrie Underwood getting her award as Female Vocalist of the Year.
