I prefer the second album althought I haven't listened to the first on carefully yet. Maybe I should, and hope I will see her in concert next october.
Did you know that the songs from her second album were written by Laurent Voulzy ? (who asked Andrea to join him on "All I Have to Do is Dream")

She will be on concert in Paris on october 9th and 10th. Places are quite expensive I think (between 45 and 48 euros). One of my friend doesnt' want to come, so I'm not sure if I love her enough to go alone.

That's great that you have an opportunity to see her perform, whether or not you decide to go. Does this help you make up your mind?

I just saw this picture of Nolwenn. I didn't know that she plays tin whistle too! Haha... I'm 100% sure she's a Corrs fan now!

Oh, I see! I didn't think about that, but I do like how she revives her schooldays in concert like Andrea. ...or is it Sharon, 'cause she plays the violin too!

Nolwenn did great covers on previous tour like, Crucify (Tori Amos), I will remember you (Sarah Mc Lachlan), Kissing You (Des'ree) and Runaway ( ).. I guess you should have paid for that, Steve???

Yes, I would. "Runaway" by Nolwenn is posted at one of the Corrs sites (I can't remember which one) and that's how I came across her music. That recording of "Runaway" doesn't do her voice justice, though. I also want to mention that after listening to the album much more, I now REALLY like Histoires Naturelles. I think that it also helped to see the acoustic performances, such as the TV5 Monde Europe performances from 2006 and the Direct 8 TNT Show performances from 2007.

I agree that her acoustic "Mon Ange" is awesome! I think acoustic music tends to reveal when a person is truly talented, and she is.

Thanks for the links, Brownie! I see that it is a "DVD Zone 2". I can only hope that, because of the many French-speaking Canadians, this DVD will be released there in a Region 1 NTSC format. We'll see.

Oh wow!! That's great news. ;D I think that she deserves it. Thanks for letting me know. It's really quite amazing to me that she should do so much promotion in 2006 lasting into 2007 for an album that came out in 2005. The big difference is that Nolwenn went on tour, and look at the results: she's still in a wave of success, at least with this Chérie FM honour, if not on the charts. Now she has a chance to stay in the minds of the public with her new live CD and DVD. It's at #25 on the French Charts right now. I remember watching the French charts in 2005 and 2006 because the Corrs' Home was on the charts at the same time. The CDs of Nolwenn Leroy and The Corrs seems to stay relatively close to each other. But with some touring, Nolwenn re-entered the Top 200 French albums (#198) on 21 July 2007 * and again (#199) on 11 August 2007 *. I guess that's not too bad for an album that came out in December 2005.
