Well, Sharon is still working closely with her manager John Hugues ;D "Stylorouge were in Dublin in December to shoot recording sessions and interviews for the documentary that will accompany a new orchestral work by the Wild Ocean composer John Hughes. The Mandela Suite is a melange of Classical, African and Irish traditional musical influences, and was inspired by a quotation by Nelson Mandela himself, when speaking backstage at a one-off tribute concert in Trafalgar Square in his honour in April 2001. Composer John Hughes was granted an extraordinary follow-up meeting with the iconic statesman four years later in Johannesburg, where he kindly agreed to repeat his paean in praise of music for Hughes to record it. This was to be the catalyst for a musical journey that would take a further two and a half years to evolve, with the help of orchestrator Fiachra Trench, Producers Billy Farrell and Greg French, The Irish Film Orchestra and Sharon Corr (of the Corrs) among others. Rob O’Connor has directed the documentary which will be used to publicize the release of The Mandela Suite early in 2009. Director of Photography is Ciaran Tanham. An excerpt from the documentary will be added to our website after the Christmas break." Here's a pic of Sharon (don't think i saw that one before) and one of the handsome Mr Hugues
