Some Glasto photos. Courtesy of Glasto Radio with whom she did an interview. Hopefully, we can get further details. "Who'dya think taught little sister the moves !!" "Oh no; I really AM developing Twittering issues !!" Partial band photo with Roberta Howlett (b-vox) A hairy Jace takes a little getting used to Ny might be right; the big fella IS looking a little trimmer these days. NOT touring with Jimbo & Keith no doubt mean less beer. Love that guitar of his (from BH tour days); got one the same model - it's my fave

Oyster over at CC has posted a Glasto report which so far is our best call on how she went.
"I was lucky enough to see Sharon’s superb set on the Acoustic stage at Glastonbury last night. I got there early to secure a place at the front however the venue was already filling up and I ended up toward one side but was at the front. The band set up was really fast and I could Sharon in the wings chatting and smiling with the crew. She looked beautiful and was warmly received by the crowd who had chosen this give over many others at the same time including Seth Lakeman. Her one hour set flew by and was well received especially the Corrs songs There was plenty of interaction with the crowd and she blew kisses and winked at several people.
Gerry Corr was there and sat to the left of the stage throughout looking very proud. Sharon played along with Gerry O'connor fiddle and banjo several times. He is very highly regarded in the folk music community as one of the worlds best banjo players.
I cannot remember all the names but the set went like this :
1. Opening the band came on first and started an Irish Jig. She then walked on waved to the crowd and joined on fiddle. 2. She said hello and said the first song would probably be the first single from her new album. 3. More chat about the album release date and another new song. 4. Radio. 5. Rocked up Irish jig. 6. Another new song. 7. Chatted about this Bronski Beat song -Small Town Boy (I think) which was theme tune to her teen years and how far back that felt now. Comments from the crowd and her she made a joke about welcoming complements about still looking young. 8. Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac 9. So young 10.Rock tune and she introduced the band who played a few bars solo. 11. Thanked the audience and said we were a great crowd introduced the last tune by telling everyone it was time to dance and they played a rocked up Irish jig.
During the instrumentals she move along the stage a lot. Had a laugh with some girls who keep shouting “Your beautiful and the beautiful Corrs” as per the Ant and Dec comedy sketch.

So would I !! It would suit Shazz's voice, we know the quality of her band, if that backing girl is as good as I think she is, it could've sounded pretty special.

Official site update
After Thoughts July 1st, 2009
Hey Guys!
Well, that was fab! Took me a couple of days to recover from Glastonbury. I had a blast. We all did. I played quite a few new songs and I could see some of the audience singing along which was thrilling. I did a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way” (which got a great response), “Small Town Boy” and The Korgis’ “Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime.” The trad got the place rocking!
After the initial pre-show nerves, I felt we really relaxed as a band. It’s so great to be back on stage. I sometimes wonder how I managed without it for three whole years!
Backstage was very interesting. I met Penguin Cafe Orchestra, saw them perform and have been a fan for years. Silver Strand, which I wrote years ago with Caroline, was directly inspired by them.
I met Imelda May and her band, a really nice bunch and a great performance. And amazingly got talking to Roger Maguinn of The Byrds: “Do you still get nervous before gigs?” I asked. “You wouldn’t be normal if you didn’t.” We’ve been Twittering ever since!
Had a good walk round Glastonbury. Never saw so many hippies with credit cards in all my life. Loved it. Great vibe.
I will never forget the site of Blur rocking the main stage as we left. The place was sea of lights.
Lookout for me on “This Morning” on the 15th July. And doing “Carpool” with Robert Llewellyn around that time too. I’ll let you know more details as we get closer to the time.
Off to see Jeff Beck tonight in Dublin!
Talk soon. All my love.
Sharon xx
Kinda interesting that she's actually been filling us in on WHO wrote what. Seems our Caro had a distinctly larger creative role than many have thought. Runaway was always seen as an Andrea creation yet we've found it was a collaboration. One suspects that a lot of the "Andrea" numbers were Andrea (lyrics) with Caro/Jim (music).

Want laughs ?? Follow Sharon's Twitter link !!
Over past few days, along with nattering away to US, she has been engaged in an ongoing exchange with the "alter-ego" of British comedian Stephen Fry ..... and entertaining everyone who cares to tune in. Will she ditch music and go on the road doing comedy ?? Sadly, her "unreasonable Twittering" has put strains on her marriage (poor Gav ...who's own Twittering suggests can hold his own) and she will be heading off for a few days holiday. One's commiserations go out to Gav ..... crappy weather, wife going thru Twittwe detox, screaming kids ... perhaps he should have taken a trip to Afghanistan instead.

And she mentioned "Corrs Fan Base" on one of her twitts! "Just saw Sierra Hull on CorrsFanBase tnite, wow!" Nice! ;D Nyoman, I think it is obvious that she (and poor old Gav) have kept (and continue to keep) a regular eye on the major Corr fansites including this one. I know that she's identified me from THIS board from some of her Tweet replies as she refers to me as CW when my Twitter ID is different. Hope she will forgive me one day for those smartarse captions on her photo thread !! One suspects that the residual levels of interest and enthusiasm on the various boards (as well as the comments of Corrs YT clips) were factors in encouraging to proceed with her solo project AND directly engage with the fanbase. As it's progressed, it really has been a case of both feeding off each other .... like performers feed off a positive audience.
