She Who Must Be Obeyed (or should that read She who buys a lot of shoes online ;D) broadcast the following Tweets a short-time ago
"Hey Guys, In studio with Keith, Anto, Jay n Billy putting down a new song, sounds grt so far. Been a very busy 2 wks, but all good. xxx"
"Album shd be out end of October! Just trying to pick 2nd single now, any suggestions from what uv heard so far?"
Reactions are:
1. The lady certainly is meaning what she's saying about seriously soliciting feedback from us.
2. She'd better not slavedrive the boys TOO hard ... she'll need them out on the road.Tweeted her to that effect and received the following response "just cracking the whip now!".Whilst this will certainly have the effect of keeping them on the straight & narrow ... and out of the pub(s), one could hear their yelps down here south of the equator !
Regarding 2nd single. Having heard the finished version of STB, it had me reaching for superlatives and I tend to be very circumspect in my use of such language. IT would have been my choice as 1st single but since she chose a slow-tempo (INAD) as first shot, she may be best served with the contrast of an up-tempo number such as EPO (which I suspect could have distinct legs in the country x-over/countrypolitan market).
Frankly all 3 deserve a shot but it remains to be seen just what scope they have for release for this album. Spokes can only taken them as far as UK/Ireland ..... there is major scope for release/potential success beyond there but will she get the necessary distribution/promotion?
