Herself has posted the following blog update overnight.
"Hey Guys,
I’m back in the studio finishing the album now and having lots of fun doing it. Nothing like doing what you love!
I put vocals down last night on 2 new songs – Buenos Aires and Love Me Better. Right now Anto is rockin’ out one mean guitar solo! Mmmmmm… It’s really taking shape now.
Couldn’t be happier with the response to It’s Not A Dream and enjoyed singing my way round the UK and Ireland promoting it!
As always your supporting and enthusiasm means sooooo much. Keep it comin’.
All my love,
Sharon xxx"
Quite a bit we can take from this, both on the surfac & also taking a wider view.
Clearly the lady is "in a good place" mentally & emotionally at the moment & it comes across. She is not only "doing what she loves" but she's also surrounding herself not only with top rate talent but more importantly people with whom she shares deep artistic & personal bonds. The various EPK's & the live performances with Anto have merely reinforced the impression of the great chemistry.
Whilst she no doubt exercises artistic control, she is well aware of what these people bring to the table artisically & how they can enrich her music. Giving Anto "free rein" is merely an illustration of this but we've also seen what Fiachra Trench has added with INAD & STB ..... but this goes for the entire team. Mind you ... I'm itching to hear just what the big fella's come up with given his past efforts !!
There ARE no guarantees as to this album's commercial success but all my critical senses so far have me thinking we may be looking at an "artistic" treasure.

Our "leading lady" seems to be firing on all cylinders and the more I'm hearing about it, the more I feel we could have something really special. From her Tweets today, it appears that she really is working with some of Ireland's elite musical talent (which obviously includes her "own crew" of course).
Anto has had major links over the past 25 years with the legendary Irish folk-rock group Moving Hearts and it would appear that Sharon's "accessory" has also been active as arm-twister/recruiter. Sharon Tweeted "Watching Noel Eccles putting some grt Percussion on Buenos Aires. He's grt!" which prompted my enquiry about "her recuiter". She responded "You got it! and Davy Spillane too!".
(For those not familiar, Eccles was MH's percussionist & Spillane a legenday uillean piper for MH & solo (he & Anto did Mystic Seacliffs). Pays to have friends ...... and friends of friends !!

I was really happy to hear the news of Davy Spillane playing whistle on Sharon's recording. Years ago, I got to know him through his amazing work on Bryan Adams' MTV Unplugged CD/DVD. For those who aren't familiar with Moving Hearts, here's their website where you can hear some of their music: www.movinghearts.ie/In 2007, they released a live DVD recorded at Dublin’s Vicar Street during The Moving Hearts sold out four-night stand in February 2007. Further update re personnel I've been able to coax out of Sharon.
She Tweeted "More Guitars tday on new song, sounds grt!" which got me thinking ... is Anto doing ALL the guitar work on the album or is she calling in other "alumni" like Conor Brady (esp for numbers like Jenny's Chickens). Rec'd a prompt response "Conor has already been involved and prob will be more".
The fact that Sharon's album is NOT a major label/big budget production AND she has been able to attract the quantity & quality of contributors speaks volumes (1) about the likely quality of the end product AND (2) about her. Anto's links have certainly helped but these people obviously have regard for her as an artist and most likely as a person.

Latest site update:
Another Busy Week
Hey guys,
Ooooh! it’s getting close! About another week to go and the album will be finished!
Had the wonderful Stuart Cable (former Stereophonic, current Killing For Company drummer) in studio this week to play drums on Arms Lie Limp and it sounds ROCKIN! What a great guy! We made the most of his visit and escaped the studio for a much needed night out! Laughed the night away!
Laid some beautiful strings on Real World, Buenos Aires and Arms Lie Limp today. Brass on Six Train.
Backing vocals on Monday and another special guest during the week.
I’ll have some more exclusive footage to post on my YouTube channel over the next week. Don't forget to subscribe.
Lots of love,
Sharon xxx
Special guest ?? Suspect it is likely to be Alex Ubago "returning the favour"; a Spanish vocal on "Buenos Aires" ? Also good to see some further contributions from Fiachra Trench; his work on INAD & STB was marvellous & his touch can only further enrich these new numbers.

I agree with you, CW. Fiachra Trench did an amazing job on the the arrangements for "It's Not A Dream". Sharon posted a photo that shows the score that Fiachra Trench composed for the brass on "Six Train." Sharon answered one of my questions at Twitter. She wrote one word: "whistle". I had asked her if Davy Spillane would be playing pipes or whistle. Davy will be playing whistle. Very great! (Sharon "whistled" at me! Haha!) Sharon's official YouTube page ( www.youtube.com/user/SharonCorrOfficial) has uploaded the Alex Ubago song "Amarrado A Ti":

Keep checking Sharon's website. Gavin says HERE that soon they will be posting some video from The Music Show at the RDS this past weekend.

Shaz still adding finishing touches to the album. For those wondering which orchestra, Shaz confirmed that it's our old friends "more strings with the fab Fiachra Trench and Irish Film Orchestra". Definitely looking like a "Corr alumni" album but a great choice as they were an integral part of the beauty of Unplugged & put a lot of larger orchestras to shame on LID.

I agree with you completely in what you said about Fiachra Trench and Irish Film Orchestra. After hearing Sharon's live vocals at Women in Rock and hearing the outstanding vocals - both lead and backing - on "Me and My Teddy Bear", I think we're in for a real treat with this album. I also point out the words of advance praise regarding the song "Real World". Okay, they are from Gavin, but he was right before!

I also point out the words of advance praise regarding the song "Real World". Okay, they are from Gavin, but he was right before! Seems we are in total agreement. Have heard the album cuts of both INAD & Smalltown Boy and, apart from Sharon's own contributions, what really stood out was the skill & quality of Fiachra Trench's orchestration & Billy Farrell's production. They are effective in that they showcase what should be showcased without being obtrusive & overpowering. That WAS a characteristic of Fiachra's work with the Corrs; he never "drowned them in syrup" or overpowered them which points to his taste & class as a musician. Sharon has been extraordinarily fortunate in who she has been able to work with on this project. To a person, they have all been artists of the highest quality & on the evidence to date, they have "gelled" (case in point Alex Ubago). I think it is also quite clear that her "inner circle" of people truly beleive in this project. I remember a TV interview on Irish breakfast TV where the host told Sharon that Billy Farrell (a friend of his) had played him the "early rushes" a while back. Anto's "recruitment" of his Moving Hearts mates & the guy from Horslips also speaks eloquently of his belief in this album. Would not surprise that Fiachra may have had some "pull" in lining up the IFO .. From the first hearing of EPK 1, my instinct has been telling me we're looking at a "good 'un" & what has followed has only reinforced this impression. I am circumspect im my use of such language but I am willing to go on the record at this stage & state that we could be looking at one of the artistic highlights of 2010.
