Anto's "other band", the legendary folk rock group Moving Hearts is not the only great Irish band of the 70-80's to reform & perform together again in recent times. Horslips were another seminal act of that era and Sharon has stated they were an influence on the Corr's music.
The following appeared in Hotpress on 11th Nov & has been confirmd by the Boss Lady.
Sharon Corr guests with Horslips 11 Nov 2009
You can catch her with the lads next month in Belfast. Having already lined up Something Happens! (we’re reinstating the exclamation mark) for their Dublin O2 show, Horslips have confirmed that they’ll be joined in the Belfast Odyssey Arena on December 3 by Sharon Corr who in addition to readying her debut solo album has guested on Basque star Álex Ubago’s new Calle Illusión album, which has gone top 3 in both Spain and Argentina.
Interesting to hear about the success of Alex's album. Smart move for Sharon as it seems the Spanish speaking market could be worthwhile for her.

Gavin was tweeting about the Horslips and their concept album The Táin yesterday and I watched YouTubes he linked. I remember the band from the Out of Ireland DVD, but don't know too much about them. Apparently, they are revered in Ireland and hailed as the originators of Celtic Rock, but they broke up in 1980, twenty-nine years ago.
Therefore, it's a very big deal that Sharon is a guest at the concerts given by the re-united Horslips.

Gav has confirmed that Shaz IS the support act for Horslips for this gig which is a VERY good break to receive given that this gig should be big !! Did this come as a result of Sharon & Jim Lockhart or through Anto's longtime links with Johnny Fean & Barry Devlin ... or both !!

Shaz has posted her latest v-log, this time backstage before the gig at the Odyssey in Belfast. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d-gow_4cUk&feature=player_embeddedShe has also been kind enough to post further: "Scott Maher is the rather talented dude on acoustic and vocals. Along with, of course, the magnificent Mr Billy Farrell, my producer and keyboard player. Glad you liked the backstage glimpse. Pity my hubby sat so far back for the footage! Sx" Gav, you've now been officially unmasked as cameraman !! We also have a visit from our dear friend Mr Duffy. A translation of the exchange goes as follows: Keith: "Yeah, this is gonna be a fun ey. Are you the camera man for tonights show?" Gavin: "I am" Keith: "This is my bad side, and this is also my bad side. " A final side observation. These little clips have also shown another vital commodity going for Shaz's project; namely the commitment & belief of her "corr team". Anto's has been apparent for quite a while & here we see Billy Farrell (her producer) who is also up for going out & playing backing player for her. One might even draw a longer bow & argue that Keith is exuding positive vibes about things.

Well said. I can't think of much to add to that. Yeah, Keith gave me a laugh. ;D I'm happy that Sharon chose Billy Farrell, someone who seems to want to facilitate Sharon's own creativity and someone who'll play in the gigs. In certain respects, he's like Mitchell Froom, producer of who played keyboards during the MTV and VH1 concerts.
