Irish Sun -1st March- Article by Richie Taylor
“The Corrs are returning to their roots to make an album of solely Irish music. The band are working on it in Dublin with Michael Froom , who worked with them on their live MTV album and has also produced pop giants Crowded House. The new recording will include traditional, folk and contemporary Irish music. A Corrs spokesman said” People are always asking for more of an Irish element from them. So they plan to do all that including covers by contemporary Irish songwriters. “They began playing Irish music with fiddle, tin whistle, bodhran and piano. It’s what they’ve done for years and they love it “ Tour The Album will feature the BBC concert orchestra on several tracks. The Corrs will record with them in London next month before finishing it off in Dublin in April and May before release in the autumn. They will probably take the orchestra on tour with them to recreate the the sound. The band took a break from their work on the album to attend last weeks Meteor Music Awards, where their manager John Hughes won the industry award. The Corrs usually include a tiny taste of traditional in their live set , with Sharon on fiddle, Andrea on tin whistle, Caroline on bodhran and brother Jim on piano.

I´m all excited about it. So far I just forced myself to NOT believe that there´s going to be a new CD anytime soon to avoid disappointment. But now I´m all chipper. *lol* ;D Looking forward to it soooooooo much! I hope there´ll be further news soon.
