John Hughes' album "Wild Ocean" will be released in Europe and other parts of the world soon! Here's the article from corrsonline.com: "Wild Ocean" goes global By Mathias de Groot - 4th April 2005
After seeing his debut album released in Ireland, the UK and also in Poland last year, John Hughes (Corrs' manager) will now also release Wild Ocean in 10 more countries worldwide. According to Barry Gaster (Hughes' long-time associate), the album has been doing very well in those countries and it is now time to release it around the globe.
"In April, the album is released in Germany, Holland, Sweden and New Zealand. The ship in Holland is particularly encouraging - they have a strong interest there in this kind of ambitious orchestral contemporary music and the record company love it, so they think it'll do very well there", Barry Gaster tells Hotpress.com.
In May Japan and Spain will follow, with further releases over the next few months
As the momentum behind the record increases, a couple of tracks have also been included in the movie Tara Road, produced by Noel Pearson.
And as if that wasn't enough, Tara Blaise will release her new album 'Dancing On Tables Barefoot' (produced by Olle Romo) on May 30, preceded by the 1st single ('Paperback Cliché') on May 13. Tara Blaise is the former lead singer with Dublin band Kaydee and is now managed by John Hughes and Barry Gaster.
You can order "Wild Ocean" from Amazon.co.uk.

I have heard that the album is very good. Unfortunately, it STILL has not been released in the U.S.

Wiku, are you asking if John Hughes is a good singer?? Actually, he doesn't sing on the album. It's primarily an instrumental album. However, there are some vocals on the album (such as on the song "Dancing in the Wind") that are sung by Tara Blaise. She is an Irish singer that John Hughes is now managing. The link above ( www.wildocean.co.uk/) takes you to a nicely designed website that allows you to listen to all of the selections on the album.

I just got Wild Ocean yesterday! I really like the album. It's full of beautful, relaxing music.
Inside the booklet there are a lot of beautiful photos and the stories behind each of the tracks. There is also a interesting quote from John Hughes:
"Music, for me, is about the combination of lyrics and melody for the purpose of expressing an emotion. That's why a lot of musicians are half-crazy, because we're all emotional. Not that it's anti-intellectual, but our first view of the world is an emotional one."
