A Belgian website [url=http://www.freerecordshop.be/shop/content/NL/CDverwacht.asp?navid=2&subnavid=111&gid=0 ]Free Record Shop[/url] is reporting a release date of 24-6-2005 for the Corrs new album, "Irish Standards." That is just five days before the concert in Bonn.  It's also reported at another Belgian website [url=http://www.topdisc.be/releases.asp?month=6&year=2005&cat=releases ]TopDisc[/url] It should be noted that such information is not ALWAYS reliable... one should probably wait for confirmation from the Corrs Official Website. Being the sceptic that I always am when reading something like this, I try not to go all YAY YAY at once. BUT it would be soooooooooo fantastic if that were true! AHHHH!!!! ;D So, let´s see if COW will confirm that.

its not on dutch websites. But belgium is not far from here so if its a belgian only release i could still get some  But like Swanny, I also doubt abou it. what I heard a while back is that the new Album was due for 2006. |

Well what I heard was that the album is due for fall 2005. That´s sooner than 2006 but still a while after June! Don´t get me worng, I really wanna have that album as soon as possible but if it was due for June already that´d be a BIG SURPRISE. But appard from the doubts...I also doubted that there would honestly be a gig in Monte Carlo...but now it´s confirmed...so let´s wait and see.

hey, that would be great, I mean...of course the album should be released as soon as possible...but...I mean...fall is okay, too. ;D Maybe a few days before my birthday, hehe, because then I could tell my mom about it, and wouldn't have to buy it on my own, hehe remember...me=poor little student |

Yes, my friend also said they did start recording in Januari. Hmm if so, it COULD be possible that the songs are recorded and that they're pressing the cd's now.
As its a cd with traditional music, I thought its also possible they took exsisting songs, and didn't compose new ones, what do you think?

Well what I heard was that the album is due for fall 2005. what I heard a while back is that the new Album was due for 2006. The Spanish Corrs website disfrutaloscorrs.com reportedly received an email from Atlantic saying the June release is not true... that it will be released at the "end of the year." (I remember reading a website announcing in February the release of the Corrs' CD Songs of Ireland in March 2005!!). There's lots of misinformation out there...  I believe it will be great when it finally arrives! |

OMG!!!! 5th June!!! New album!!! Really!!!! Thank you for the info Mr Steve.
Well.......i think they compose New Song. It's impossible to survive in "music world" without new song....maybe there are old song like "Erin Shore" or "Toss the Feather"......but they must create new song. Actually, i like better traditional Corrs than "Corrs Rock" (Like "hideaway" or "irresistible"). They are more enjoyable to listen.

Aww....it means we should waiting again But the good news is that it won't be a THREE YEAR wait like last time! Since I am a new fan, I don't really know what it was like to wait that long for the next Corrs album! |
