Some of us Americans Corrs fans had a little email chat last night and a few of us are getting a slight bit "put-off" by the fact that there has been no confirmation of a U.S. release of Home. Here we are approaching just one month until the release, and STILL no word if we're even going to have it released here in the States. COW is as silent as ever! As far as I know, the U.S. NEVER saw any of the CD Singles from Borrowed Heaven released here. Wild Ocean by John Hughes also was NEVER released. Will it be the same for Home? Maybe the Corrs have forgotten the rest of the world and have decided to just be a Euro-band! ( ) More likely, it's just that the executives at Warner/Atlantic U.S. have their heads up their lack imagination.

The release date has been changed to the 26 th of September. I think it´s the same date for every country now, but I´m not sure.

I did read somewhere that new date is exactly 10 years after the release of FNF... that is so cool!

Yes Chantal, it is!
Now, let me also say something reagrding tourdates etc....I actually started to save some money again...I set my hopes high that they will do some promotion for "Home", hoping that they´ll also come to Germany again. Which sounds a bit selfish, seeing that we (the Germans) only just had them here in June and the US fans are still waiting for them to finally come to the states again. I really hope for our my fellow American fans, that the Corrs will be somewhere near you soon and I also hope you´ll get "Home". Still I am hoping they´ll come to Germany again soon and I can´t help it, I am a little excited...

Steve, Summer Sunshine was released in the U.S. but the subsequent singles from Borrowed Heaven, Angel and Long Night were not.
I hope the album is released here and that they are able to come tour. I'm not sure it's entirely under their control. I'm positive that if they had it all their way nobody would be left out and that they would do enough in Europe, North America, and Australasia within a reasonable travelling distance to give all their fans the opportunity to come see them.

Yes, "Summer Sunshine" WAS released in the U.S. Yeah, Tiff, we KNOW we can find them in the "imports" section or buy them online. That's not the point I was making, though. One of the reasons as Americans for having our fears that Home won't be released is how Warner Atlantic U.S. turned their backs on the Corrs by failing to release (domestically) "Angel" and "Long Night" in the U.S. Of corrs, we die-hard fans who are "foaming at the mouth" (as Mark1 said at the CorrBoard) will find a way to get Home one way or another. It just makes it harder for the Corrs, when casual fans may be dissuaded from purchasing their Home because of the higher cost of an import. It's not time yet to despair, though! Maybe we will have an announcement soon. Maybe the Corrs are deliberately staggering the release dates in order to promote the album more effectively on different continents. I hope we have some good news soon since we have been very much looking forward to a huge success for the Corrs with Home.
