Gavin records 'shanty' songs with Hal Willner

Gavin, Maurice [Seezer] and a full ensemble have been working with producer Hal Willner in a Dublin studio this past week. The ensemble, featuring guest appearances by Dave-id, Guggi, Bono and Andrea Corr, has been put together to record an album compilation of 'shanties and seamen's work songs'. Six songs have been recorded so far.

If you will recall, Gavin Friday co-wrote "Time Enough For Tears" from Borrowed Heaven.

No, I don't think so yet since they are still in the process of recording. But I wonder if Andrea will be called on to sing, play tin whistle, or perhaps BOTH.

wow, so it's out finally. Hm, i listened to the samples of the first Link...hmmmmmm, dunno if that's really my thing...But i listened also to the excerpt of the song sung by Andrea, and i think this sounds rather good What do you think?

I´ve listened to Andrea´s song and it sounds pretty good. You can hear how crystal clear her voice is, that´s great!

Does anyone know the exact date of release of the cd and where it´s gonna be available?
