some news: good and bad (a Corrs Club discussion)

Hi guys!

I found a very interesting post at the Corrs Club revealing some news about the release of Andrea´s solo album and her career as well as the future of the Corrs as a band.
I don´t quite know what to think about it. The news about Andrea are really good I think, but what is said there about the future of the band makes me sad.

News flash! Release date and tour info concerning Andrea's solo album!

After a flurry of phone calls and emails to certain unnamed parties, it has been revealed to me that the CD will be released on June 18 in Europe and June 26 in the US! Her tour is tentatively planned to begin in mid-July in Spain, then France, and into Holland, Germany, UK and Ireland throughout the summer. There are also plands to take her tour to North America starting in September with gigs in NY, Boston, Chicago, L.A., Seattle, Denver and Pittsburgh. Appearances on US TV are also in the works. Her band will consist of 5 backup musicians (no Corrs) and she'll be playing 2 songs on piano!
As for the Corrs themselves, they have no current label contract and are not seeking one. Sharon & Caroline are to be full-time homemakers til their kids are all of school age, but they will be working on new songs at home as time allows.

Unfortunately, this post was a hoax by a board member trying to make some kind of a statement about the unreliability of rumours put up at the board by persons who claim to have "inside" information.

There have been a lot false rumours lately. Not very funny, I think.

So we still need to wait to hear about the release dates and the tour schedule from official sources.

No need for you to be sorry, Sabine. It wasn't your fault at all. One used to be able to rely on that board for good information, but it's now a place where false rumours are propagated and tolerated, apparently. It's really too bad that these posts are allowed to flourish.
