Just wondering, as this forum seems quiet lately..   I know the Corrs Club is all a buzz... But, has anyone @ this forum got a copy of Andrea's new solo CD as yet??? It is out in a few countries in Europe by now...  Comes out "officially" in Canada tomorrow... But, was available to download from iTunes last Tuesday... So, that is what I did, as I couldn't wait...LOL!!!! ;D My thoughts about the album are all kinda mixed up right now... I do like it... But, unfortunately, it's not as good as I'd hoped... Well... That's my opinion anyway... Yours might be different, & I'd love to hear it..  The songs I like most are: "Hello Boys" & "Take Me I'm Yours" for their fantastic beat... ;D I feel this CD needs more of these kinds of tracks to get it moving.. ha ha!!! Otherwise... "Ten Feet High" (the song) isn't bad... I also really love "Ideal World", as it sounds abit "Corr-zie" (new word) ;D Andrea has written it in the same 3rd person sense as songs such as, "Hurt Before" ..Plus, it's a beautiful song.. I like "This Is What Its All About" as well... But other than that... The other songs are just so-so for me... I feel Andrea's beautiful voice is drowned out abit by over-production, or something.. And, it could've been better... "Anybody There" with it's repititious beat has becoming rather annoying for me to listen to.. And, I'm quickly tiring of "Shame On You" as well... I will buy the CD tomorrow however.. Perhaps the sound quality will be abit better than my iTunes download... *fingers crossed* Hope you're all fine, out there?? Would be great to hear from you all again... *hugs* ;D |

Hi Linda, I don't have it yet and it appears as if the U.S. isn't going to get it any time soon. I have ordered an import from the UK but it won't arrive for still some time. Because of the wide array of reactions (including some from people who, unlike you, have prejudices one way or another), I decided to deliberately not read a lot of comments until I actually have a chance to listen to Ten Feet High for myself. I'm not a .wma man - I prefer to wait for a physical CD. Linda, your review (took a peek ) seems to be pretty much what I am anticipating myself, though I am not sold on the album version of "Hello Boys" and prefer the acoustic version. I also hope the sound quality will be better on the CD. Thanks for your review!  |

Seems the quality "is" better on the physical CD... so, I am glad I bought it this morning.. I hope you get the album soon, Steve... It's actually growing on me, the more I listen to it..  It's not bad... & there are a few little gems on it... I'd love to hear some of these acoustic versions, I'd probably prefer "Hello Boys" performed that way.. Unfortunately, they've been taken off Andrea's official website... Ah, well...  Thanks for the reply.. Talk to you soon.. |

OMG, Linda, it has been released in Canada! That's great, fantastic! I really want to go get it but trying desperately to save for Europe!! Hopefully, sometime soon I will get it. (sighs) Thank you for your review. |

Am I the only one, on this forum, who has the CD so far?? ...Just wondered, as no one seems to be talking about it.. hee hee... Steve... Did you order the Japanese edition?? How about you, Scott?? Seems like that's the best one to order... I however, have already purchased the album twice... (iTunes & the Canadian physical release) So, I'll just have to be content with that... LOL!!!! ;D Cheers, guys... Hope you all get your copies soon... I don't have the CD yet!!  I haven't even received a shipping confirmation from CD-WOW! US. I also ordered a mystery single. Back in February, Amazon offered a single of "Ten Feet High" and I ordered it. Amazon just told me that the CD release has been moved back. I still don't know what I'm going to get, if anything. I would like to have the Japanese Special Edition, but I have not purchased it yet. I know that Scott purchased the Japanese edition a few days ago. It's definitely the one to get, especially with the videos on it. |

I got Andrea's CD today from CD-Japan!! ;D The album is fantastic. The songs that I hadn't heard before came out great. The songs that I had heard before, but only in acoustic versions, were treated very well by Nellie Hooper. I am very pleased with the CD. |

I have it!!!! It arrived last week and Swanny and I have been listening to it the whole weekend. We love it!!! The songs are so great!!! I sooooooooo love the whole album!!! I´m playing it over and over and over, all the time!!! |

Linda, I think "Take Me I'm Yours" would be a very good choice for a single. It's a really cool song, I think. My favourite track is "Ideal World" - it's a beautiful song. I remember when violinist Simon Hewitt-Jones wrote last summer: You know the gut feeling you get when you hear an instant classic for the first time? Something like Fairytale in New York or some of the Beatles classics. I think, I hope... I'd put money on it, anyway. It just gets you there.I think I finally know what he meant! It is a song in which each verse gets more emotionally charged that it nearly brings one to tears. I can certainly relate to this song. Other favourites of mine are "24 Hours"; "Ten Feet High" (although Andrea's vocals often can't be heard above the other tracks); "Champagne Through A Straw"; and "Amazing". I love the piano/acoustic version of "Hello Boys." Hey, Linda (or anybody) - can you guess which ABBA song "I Do" kind of reminds me of? |

Don't worry, Shazzy... I'm sure the Spanish version will have some special extras on it, & will be well-worth waiting for.. ;D You'll have to let us know?!!! Steve... I think "Ideal World" is one of my faves as well.. It reminds me, somehow, of "Hurt Before" ...Yes, I had a good feeling about that song, right from the first time I heard it.. I also love "Amazing", although I'm having to make do with the downloaded video version from YouTube... LOL!!!! Does it sound better on CD?? ...Otherwise, YES!!! "Take Me I'm Yours" rocks!!! ;D Hmmm... an ABBA song called, "I Do" sounding similar to a track on Andrea's album... *thinks* hmmm... I wonder what that could be?? ...ha ha!!!! ;D |
