Managed to catch most of Leeds interview "live". Does she have a potential new sideline as a "sexy voice-over". The INAD single was played but she had Anto along with her and performed "Over It" (as she did in Newcastle) & "Jenny's Chickens" which was amazing (she & the big fella really do gell well together). www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0043mvn/Paul_Carrington_26_08_2009/(So Young starts @1.06 interview starts @1.10) The Coventry/Warwickshire interview was pre-recorded BUT I thought it was very good. The interviewer, Annie Othen, really seemed to have done her homework and Sharon's responses were wonderful (esp those regarding her kids/Gavin & "the lads". www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0043m8n/Annie_Othen_26_08_2009/(So Young starts at @2.01. interview @2.05 and finishes off with INAD which ends at @2.19) BTW with yesterdays Newcastle interview, Sharon comes in at @48 mins into show.

Thanks! It's been so long since we've had such a whirlwind of interviews to follow as Corr fans.

There's been more today. She's been on Citybeat Belfast (which I missed) & U105 Belfast (which I couldn't receive). Earlier today BBC Sheffield broadcast a studio interview/performance that was recorded yesterday. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0043zj7/Gareth_Evans_27_08_2009/Shaz & her accompanist (whom she mistreats TERRIBLY) come on at abt 2.11 -2.12. INAD a bit "tired", "Over It" very promising .... lots of the netroots loving this song. Also good to find out that "my fellow professional" Gavin DOES not allow his spouse's shopping excesses to go unanswered. Pls note that a traffic report & a Robbie Williams song come in the middle of the broadcast.

Thanks for the link! Great appearance. She always seems to give insightful answers during these interviews. Haha! I like the part about marrying Gavin and spending the rest of her life in the witness box. I think it does sound like her voice was a bit strained from all the promo work and studio work (at the same time, wow) and could perhaps use some rest, especially considering that she still hasn't put down the vocal tracks on "Over It". I can't wait to hear the studio version and see how the song is treated in the arrangement! Fine job too, Anto! He's definitely a "pillar".

Tuesday was a "Mega" promo day with the mellifluous tones of Mrs Bonnar seemingly everywhere. Most appearances were for BBC regional stations with one for MetroFM (unable to be hard outside UK). There were 4 interviews where Sharon and her ubiquitous & increasingly more outgoing accompanist performed live in the studio Sadly, one of these (BBC Cornwall) is not currently up on listn back. Shame because not only was it another Sharon "charm session" but Anto decided his employer was fair game for some musical sending-up in the background. Live. BBC Northampton with Bernie Keith (Shaz after 2.40) www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0045ljc/Bernie_Keith_01_09_2009/Live. BBC Bristol (afternoon) with Jason Harold (Shaz after 2.30).This interview (or at least the performance of Over It from this interview was filmed and will be posted on Shaz's site) www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0045mpq/The_Afternoon_Show_01_09_2009/Live.BBC Bristol (nightime) with Keith Warmington (Shaz after 2.13). The interviewer also asks a rather well-spoken Anto for his views. What is very apparent are the strong bonds between the Corr siblings and K&A www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0045mpv/Keith_Warmington_01_09_2009/Other app was an interview (pre-rec) with BBC Kent (Pat Marsh) SC after 1.15. This was a really enjoyable interview. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0045m97/Pat_Marsh_01_09_2009/Overall impressions. 1. Sharon is the definitive "dream guest" and nearly every host has remarked afterwards just how lovely she was. 2. I've been very impressed with the calibre of the various hosts, esp in comparison to the motormouths & egotists prevalent in many radio markets. 3. Shaz paid out on poor old Gav a couple of times (esp in the Kent show).

Yestrday saw 2 more Sharon interviews broadcast. First was an interview with BBC Wales with a live performance (starts at 14mins with a break in between parts). The host has one of those thick but wonderful Welsh accents) www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00mgbp0Second was an appearance at BBC Derby with Ed George (starts at 2hr7min) www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0046fgw/Ed_Georges_Afternoon_Show_03_09_2009/Although a lot of common territory is, by necessity, covered in all the interviews; I've found it very valuable listening to them all. It's helped to round out my knowledge of Sharon the musician & also as a person. We've learned many interesting little snippets about the time in the Corrs, it's pressures, her creative processes along with her very realistic expectations. The charm is very real & totally unforced with her capacity to laugh at herself very much to the forefront; the on-air exchanges with Anto have been both amusing but also a valuable insight into "life inside the Corrs" and the musical/personal bonds that exist. Sharon will be appearing on RTE's "Late Late Show" season premiere on Friday night. Not sure if RTE player can be viewed outside Ireland but no doubt clips will be put up. www.rte.ie/tv/latelate/

I agree with you, CW, and I really appreciate you posting all the links to the interviews. I listened to many of those that you posted yesterday, but not all of them. It will be interesting to see what the first chart position will be in light of all the hard promotional work that Sharon is doing. The internet show that I listen to on Sundays (Soft Rock UK) has now played "It's Not A Dream" four straight weeks in a row - the last three of which were played without even the need for requesting it.

The national TV exposure on "The Late Late Show" certainly seems to have helped. Latest reports #6 Pop Charts; #12 Top 100. If only there was such a "one-shot" option, for the much larger UK market.
