hahaha, okay I believe you Because there isn't anything I'd have wanted to be changed either. Though there were those moments when I thought: OH NO! AH! NO NO NO!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! For example when both kissed, because I knew this could find a good end ah! or when Elizabeth began to not-see ivan anymore! As one of you said before, i guess it waas swanny...you expected that moment to come...but not at THAT moment...you know? That was like: AH! nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! a really sad moment. especially when luke came to ivan saying:"It starts, doesn't it?" or something like that. *sobsob* I'm sure you heard that there'll be a movie based on the novel...of corrs you heard about that because I told you! ha! I only hope that there won't be too much changed in the story...you know what the thing uis with movies and books. But since it's a Disney production I somehow also expect some music...what do you think? Ivan beeing a singer? hahahaha ;D a french singer hahahahaha oh and I just read that "PS, I love you" will be released in 2006 in the US. it's still in production as I see it here, but the Director is: Richard LaGravenese...but I still found no information about the actors.

Haha, yes, you´ve told us that the book will be the model for a film production, but, that´s not quite correct. They want to make a musical of the book, which I think is even better. Here´s what I found on her official site www.ceceliaahern.ie about it: CECELIA AHERN NOVEL OPTIONED BY DISNEY The third novel by Cecelia Ahern entitled IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW (due for release 7th November) has been optioned by Walt Disney Pictures for development as a musical for producers Craig Zadan & Neil Meron of Oscar winning movie Chicago. Hugh Jackman, (star of the X-Men movies) is set to play a leading role of the imaginary friend of a young boy in this playful and often deeply moving love story about two lost souls. Jackman, who is currently shooting 'X-Men 3', will also act as executive producer on the film.I have also read something about the film production of her first book, but I can´t find it again. I thought that there was something about it on the official site, but unfortunately it´s impossible to read the old news from the last year, so I think that´s where I read that.

Ladies, here´s what the legendary IMDB has to say about the production based on "If you could see me now": If you could...Not much info yet but they also mention that Hugh Jackman is the producer (Well, ONE producer.) as well; just as Cecilia´s official site informes us about. Now that should be interesting. As to answer your question, Caro. I do not believe I want anything to be changed in that book...there are certain things that I am not so fond of but still I believe that everything just has to stay as it is or else the story´s development would just not work out right. So, Cecilia did a perfect job! This one goes out to Sabine especially: Be proud of me, yet again, because I just ordered my copies of "Where rainbows end" and "Irish girls are back in town".

Hahahahaha, Steve, that´s great. Yes, you better don´t read this topic, it tells too much of the book´s content and if you still want to read it, you would be disappointed, that you already know half of it.

Hey everyone, I finally finished the book too! And my version also has 330 pages. I tried to read all here as good as possible. I found some interesting discussions In the beginning I thought Elizabeth needed an IF instead of Luke. And well, while reading, it even happened. I also thought it was sooo sad when Opal lost Geoffry... I really liked the book, it was hard to put it away. Though I did like "Ps" more though. This book did make me smile and also made me shed a tear, but "PS" gave me waaay more laughs. Am I the only one who likes "PS" more???

hahaha, well IIII htink hihi, i really really liked "if you could see me now" because I could find so much of myself in it...you know? And I never felt so good after finsihing a book It was just...I had this real: WOW-effect! Though I have to say that "Ps, I love you" was the book i read first and which kind of introduced Cecelia Ahern to me. I really love it! I mean...just the idea of leaving little notes for your beloved wife, I mean, that's wow! I <also had the WOW-effect here. And "Rosie Dunne" also! Though I have to admit that i found it a bit boring in the middle of the book...but then again it was soooo funny and sad too...and ooooh. but I'm not gonna say too much, since swanny is reading it at the moment ;D. But on a scale of 1-3 of the book sof CA I would still say: 1. If you could 2. PS 3. Rosie Dunne. hehehe.

Well there were some aspects of "If" that I really could relate too. But maybe because of the loss of George his parents, that made me think about some stuff more and when I read "PS" I just thought that it was the sweetest thing Gerry had done...
BTW Caro, I like your new signature line.... The jardin scene was really funny.....

Ok, I haven´t posted in this thread for quite a while, so I have to answer a couple of questions at once. No, I haven´t read the book The Da Vinci Code, but it´s very successful and I think it must be a great book, but, well, it´s not my favourite book genre. Books like this are always too spooky for me. Hey, Cynthia I didn´t know that you were reading "If you could see me now" as well. It´s great that you like it as well. Now you can join our discussion, that´s cool. What will the future hold for Elizabeth??? Hm, I think that she will find a new boyfriend soon with whom she will be very happy and together with Luke the three of them will become a family. The relationship between Elizabeth and her father will improve again and they will, probably for the first time ever, have a great relationship. The happy family will visit him very often and Luke will have a great time with his granddad. Elizabeht´s interior design business will flourish and she will have many great projects to work on. She will start working a lot with different colours and she will probably specialise in designing children´s rooms. She will enjoy her life and look forward to the future and won´t think about her past and the chances that she has missed anymore. Haha, you see, I love happy endings! Here´s my scale of popularity of Cecelia´s entire book range. Oh, that´s tough. I really can´t decide. I read "Where rainbows end" first and I loved it. I was immediately hooked by Cecelia´s way of writing and I loved the story, the funniness and the special way of telling the story via e-mails and letters. Then I read "PS". At first I wasn´t sure if I would like it, because I thought that it would probably be a very sad story, (that´s also the reason why I read "where rainbows end" first, although I bought both books together) and sometimes I just can´t stand reading such sad stories. But "PS" also got me. It was sad sometimes, but the story is written in such a unique way, that it didn´t matter at all. I felt with Holly and I couldn´t release the book before I hadn´t finished reading it. After having read these two books I couldn´t believe that they are from the same author. The way of writing in both of them is so different, that I thought they must have been written by different people. "If you could see me now" is very different again. It´s a completely different story and again another style of writing. And like you, I could also find a lot of myself in it, which was probably Cecelia´s attention. So, that´s why I come to the conclusion that I love all three books. They are all my number one. "PS, I love you", "Where rainbows end" and "If you could see me now" are by far my favourites!!!

Hey Caro! I read "the DaVinci Code" and it is a gripping book! It was hard to put it down and I really am interested in the movie.... Just a few more days *yay*. I read all 4 books by Dan Brown in 3 weeks (ok, I must say I was talking the bus to work because I was in a cast, so I had 1,5 hours of reading time every day in the bus). Hey Sabine. Well, after reading the "PS. I love you" that I got from Swantje, I just had to read the other books you were talking about in the bookstore. I did not read "Where rainbows end". I finished "PS" when I was in the hospital. It made me cry, it made me laugh so hard it hurted and people thought my meds were kickin' in. Maybe it is those moments of laughter back then that made this book special to me... But you are right, the 2 books I read now are really different in style, though also great books! I wanted to keep reading to know how it would end. About Elizabeth, I read your "future" for her and I have to agree. Though she might still be with (ow ow, I am sooo bad in names.... ) the guy she had the diner with of the hotel. But I do think that she will make a better bond with her dad, seeing how the book ended. And because of Ivan, she sees the world in colour and she will use that in her life and her work. So I can only say that I agree with you on those points! I recently read "The Ferryman" by Christopher Golden. It was, again, a book that was not easy to put away. I am now reading "The boys are back in town" and I am loving it.... I am really spending my time at home with the internet and reading. Read on Enjoy and have a nice day *waves*
