Hey Caro! (and Brownie). Brownie: the dvd is cool!!!!!!!! I have it, ofcorrs.... @caro: they have not worked on anything lately nope... The last album was Room Service and after that came The Ballad and the Pop Hits cds. They only contained some new songs. Marie has had a braintumor (cancer) and decided to take it easy. With recovery and after that she recorded a new (her first English) soloalbum. Now, because Roxette has their 20 years anniversary, they will record some new material this year (YESSSSS!!!). I hope this answers your question

@caro: ok, here I go Marie's English solo album is called the Change and is about all she endured during and after her braintumor. I think it is a beautiful cd, with both ballads and rock songs. I got a best of 1991 cd from my grandma. It contained Joyride by Roxette. I loved it, I was 11 at the time. Later I heard It must have been love on the radio. Not knowing who it was, I kept on humming the song over and over.... When I found out that it was also by Roxette, I started to collect more songs and a fan was born. I met them in Munchen because I won a fanclub contest. It was very very cool, and I was soooo nervous I have been to several concerts, in 1994 in Rotterdam, in 1995 in London, in 2001 in Koln and in 2002 in Munchen. I loved those concerts, they are awesome live

I am really enjoying my Son Of A Plumber CD from Cynthia. ;D It's really an amazing CD. Son of a Plumber is a retro album, hearkening back to the days of Sixties and Seventies AM radio. It's really a brilliant combination of Per Gessle melodies filled with little tributes to the songs and singing styles of the time. One example of this is the use in several songs of a melodic hook from " Hitchin' A Ride" by Vanity Fare from 1970. There are so many good songs on SoaP! Some of my favourites include "Joanna Says," "Hey Mr. DJ," "Late, Later On," "I Like It Like That." I am really enjoying the album and I highly recommend it. I was just reading that the 2-CD set was not a necessary thing. All the songs could have fit on a single CD, but Per wanted this artifice as a way of bringing back the "experience" of listening to a vinyl LP, when it was necessary to stop the record and turn it over. Also it's really funny how the CD has printed on it: STEREOCAN ALSO BE PLAYED ON MONO EQUIPMENTAnother way of bringing back that era. Per GesslePer Gessle has such a greatness for melody and writing "hooks." One song I am really taken with at the moment, though the words are in Swedish, is this one HERE (free demo from the Son Of A Plumber website). I am enjoying lots of great music that was not known to me, and I would like thank those of you posting threads here. Corrs fans seem to have, for the most part, similar tastes in music.

Haha, I am very happy that you love your "Son of a Plumber" album. I really love it. If Per keeps on writing songs like that, I will keep on buying his records. Though I must admit that I am really looking forward to some new Roxette creations....

Now, because Roxette has their 20 years anniversary, they will record some new material this year (YESSSSS!!!). GOOD NEWS! A message from Per Gessle posted HERE a week ago says that he and Marie Fredriksson have recorded together. Praise the Lord! Summer is here! Even in Sweden!!
It’s been a great couple of weeks in the sun, school’s out for the little master and we’ve moved to the countryside, fumbling with the sun lotion and, believe it or not... I’ve been writing a lot of songs....
Marie and I (together with Christoffer, Clarence and Jens) spent a couple of days (and nights) in the Aerosol Grey Machine-studio recently recording two new tracks for the upcoming Rox hits-collection. It really sounds fantastic! Marie is in good shape, Christoffer is laughing all the time and Clarence has grown a beard! I’ll let you know the song titles shortly. I know you’re curious, my neighbour is....
Also, we did a great photoshoot with our old pal Jonas Linell the other day in a bowling alley. Strike!
Anyway, hope the sun is shining on you wherever you are. Check out the new Marie-album that was released last week. It deserves your attention!
All the best
P. June 17, 2006At least for a few songs, Roxette has been reformed.

I've been kinda hooked by this demo that Per Gessle made in 2002 called "Something In The System." It reminds me of those fun summer singles that I heard when I was a kid. Right click here to download. He makes it available as a free download at his SITE.

Hey, Cynthia!!! How are ya doin' ??!!! ..Today, I found the new Roxette collection CD, with the two new songs on it.. ;D Haven't seen the box set as yet tho.. But, the CD looks nice.. Lovely cover, one new pic of Per & Marie in the centre.. ;D Have you got it yet??!!! I can't wait to listen to it.. I think, "Reveal" sounds abit like "Breathe", & a few other more recent tracks.. What do you think?!! ..It's good tho.. The classic combination of Per's songwriting, & Marie's vocals.. It should do well as a single.. I hope this isn't the last we'll hear from Roxette, as a duo?? Time will tell, I guess...
