Hey Steve! Cooooool that you turned your colleague in an Ahern Fan. But, it´s probably impossible not to like Cecelia once you´ve started reading her books. She´s just sooooo great. Will you lend your colleague the other books, too? I think you're right, Sabine! All one has to do is hand the book to another person, and Cecelia does the rest. I will lend her the other books once I have read them, but there is a good chance that Norma won't be able to wait and she will go get them on her own. Yes, that´s very likely. I think everyone who loves Cecelia wants to own the books.

I have finished the first book of the Sophie Kinsella Shopaholic series and I just love it. It´s really funny and I just love reading Sophie´s books. In the beginning the book was a bit boring, but it got better with every page and in the end it was really enthralling. So, today I have bought the other 3 books of the shophalic series and I´m really looking forward to reading them. Caro, I really hope that you´ll have more time to read during the weeks to come and that you´ll enjoy "The secret dreamworld of a Shopaholic" as much as I did. I can only say, that it´ll get better.

Ok, I´ll tell you something about the book, without telling too much, hahaha, if that´s possible.
Well, the main aim for Rebecca is to get a lot of money, to pay all her bills, etc and she tries several things to achieve this. Unfortunately she´s not so lucky doing all this stuff and she makes a fool of herself several times. That´s always really funny. But in the end the book turns into a love story and furthermore, something really unexpected happens and that´s soooo cool.

Do you know what I realised lately? Bookstores are kind of my favourite places at the moment!!!! I feel soo....comfortable in there! Surrounded by all those words!!! No matter what words! Scientific, words full of love, power, friendship. and each book tells an amazing little story about a little somebody. sometimes fiction...sometimes not. I just love that!!!! I could stay there for hours without feeling bored or something!!!!! Do you know what I mean?

Little magical and comfy places. I also enjoyed working in a bookstore when I did a couple of years ago. I always loved to open the door and enter the store! Ow, Bine I am almost green ´cause of jealousy. Back to Denmark plus great reading!!! I wish I could do that too! But I sure hope you´ll enjoy that week there!!!!!

Hey, I think I actually found some women that I wouldn't mind going shopping with! ;D Most of the time, I would spend all day in the bookstore while Sue shopped at 20 other places. It's cool that you worked in a bookstore, Swantje - did you ever lose the enjoyment since you had to work there?

We should go shopping then when all of us are in Berlin, hihi. No, I never lost the enjoyment since I worked there. I liked the work even though it was a small store only. The only thing I disliked was to run errands for the shop owner!

hey, I just found some news about PS, I love you The Movie, here they are: source´: Cecelia Ahern The official Website "Two-time Oscar winning actress Hilary Swank has signed to star in Cecelia's bestselling novel, PS, I Love You. It was also announced at Cannes Film Festival that Richard LaGravanese will direct the film and Wendy Finerman is producing." wahooo, maybe they'll start filming soon so the film may be finished in February or something? Or next year :)here's a pic of Hilary Swank...wonder if she'll fit Holly well ...now imagine her with blond hair... what do you think? To be honest, I hoped that someone like Kate Hudson would be asked to play Holly because I thought she looked somehow the way I imagined Holly would look like Wonder why nobody asked her Caro, I seriously wonder if you will approve who IMDB indicates has been cast into P.S. I Love You ;D: Which role do you think Lisa Kudrow will play? Denise maybe? Sharon? (though, she doesn't LOOK like my idea of Sharon). I am revisiing my post here because I found some links regarding the casting of Lisa Kudrow: www.rte.ie/arts/2006/0921/kudrowl.htmlcomingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=16586www.killermovies.com/p/psiloveyou/articles/6528.htmlBut the bad news (in my opinion) in these links you will read clues that the film script does not stay faithful to the book. Shame on the filmmakers for changing the story so much that Holly is not even from Ireland! And Holly falls for an Irish singer? It drives me nuts when they change things so much from a successful novel.

Lisa?! Haha. How cool. (Now, great, I have the SmellyCat song in my head.) She does not look like my idea of either Denise or Sharon. I always imagined Denise to be very small and tiny but lively. And I imagine Sharon to be a little wider round the waist and having brown/reddish long curly hair. I have no idea why I imagine the two of them looking like that. So Lisa would not fit into my fantasy picture of the book. *lol* But I´d still love to see her in the movie.
Yet, WHY oh why are they making such drastic changes?! Grrrrr.

I thought of Denise as sort of a Kim Cattrall type and Lisa could do that well. Sharon was described by Cecelia Ahern and so I had much the same image as you did, Swantje. It sure looks like they are taking award-winning actress Hilary Swank and building the film around her, rather than the book, which is an insult to the book, IMO. ("Hilary doesn't have an Irish accent? No problem, let's make a New Yorker!") I'd much rather see a film with a cast of unlauded Irish actors than to see the story changed. I'm not sure exactly what the article meant. Did they mean that Lisa Kudrow's character will be a successful press agent in New York?
