WHAT? They want to change the story SO radically? GOSH! I don't WANT holly and the others to be New Yorkers!!!!! I MEAN HEY! What a reason is that that because hilary doesn't have an itrish accent Holly has to become a New Yorker? EH? I mean, if she is an actress CAN'T SHE LEARN the accent? I mean, Andrea corr for example also learned the County Clare accent for her role in BaGFCC?!?!?!?!?! On top of that i already told you that I don't like that Swank woman...but okay. I love Lisa though....dunno, I think Denise would probably really fit, because Lisa always plays those....freaked out characters and I think Denise is freaked out! hahaha,. Sharon, yeah, I always imagined her like Sharon Corr...I think her character in the book and sharon's fit quite well hihihi. BUT AH! I can't get over that! HOW COME they want to CHANGE so much? IT'S THE STORY THAT MADE THE BOOK SO AWESOME! I hope they won't turn that film into one of those typical...films. where you know EXACTLY what will happen next . Can't Cecelia say something?

OMG, that seem to be really bad news. I really don´t want the story to be changed. I mean it´s a fantastic book and it´s really successful, so why should they have to change the story to make a successful movie out of it?! There´s really no need to. Why can´t they, for once in the world, make a movie out of a book and take the story exactly as it is? That would be a historical moment, because I think that has never happened before (isn´t that sad?!)!!! But, nevertheless I think it would be great to have Lisa in the movie.

Ok, I have something about Sophie for you now. I finished "Shopaholic abroad" when I was in Denmark and I can only say that it´s a brilliant book. I soooo love it and it was great fun to read it. The story is just hilarious. It´s really incredible what Becky has got herself into, once again.
Afterwards I was so curious about how it´ll be going on that I started "Shopaholic ties the knot" straight ahead and I read the complete book in one day. It was really cool, but I think the second book was a little bit better.
And now I´m really looking forward to reading the next book "Shopaholic & Sister", although I´m a little worried that the story might not turn out as that well, because I always think it´s strange to let a sister appear out of nowhere. Normally they do this in TV series, when they don´t know what else to let happen and when they need more people watching the series. So, we´ll see how it´ll turn out.

Hey Girls! ;D I will be perpetually behind you in my reading of these books, it seems, but I finally read Where Rainbows End and If You Could See Me Now by Cecelia Ahern during my vacation. (I ALSO read this entire topic, which was almost like reading another book. ) I enjoyed these books so much. Both of them really touch both the heart and the mind.... and the funny bone, too! I guess that I join Daniel as a testament to the fact that MEN enjoy these books too. There's so many things that I could talk about in these books... it's hard to no where to begin. At least as far as the Ahern novels go, now I can say that FINALLY I no what you are talking about in this topic! ;D I really enjoyed reading your comments about the Ahern books - very insightful. I agree with you that the title If You Could See Me Now can have so many different meanings. Now undoubtedly I liked the character of Ivan, but I have to say that it was slightly disorienting at first to see this childlike persona suddenly become sensual around Elizabeth. And certain things in the book, particularly relating to the Elizabeth-Brendan-Gráinne matters, still leave me with questions. I agree with you that Elizabeth would NOT end up with Benjamin. I was hoping that Oscar would finally get around to "processing" Elizabeth's wishes on the Jinny Joes and stars. I quite like how Cecilia's endings don't go in the obvious direction as would a lesser writer, but instead leave you to draw your own conclusions about "ever after" but with an optimism for the future of the characters. And with regards to Where Rainbows End, Caro's comments led me believe it might not be up to the level of the other two books, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. That book really touched me, though in some ways it was so frustrating. I still get teary-eyed if I think about the letter that Rosie received from her father! Thank you for sharing your love of these Cecelia Ahern books with us here. BTW, I loved Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and I am now reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Now, Swanny, next can I visit your home's library to borrow your Geri Halliwell biography, hihihi? ;D

Steeeeeeve, you finally read all the books! YAY! I have to say that I was a little...”Oh God, I guess I will have to read them all over again to join into the discussuion again” because so much time passed already...actually it was little time but my brain is a little out of power now, haha.
And if you go on like this you´ll have read all the Potter books published so far very soon. (You know, I finally want to have the seventh book!!! On the other hand, after that one there´ll be no other one which is a weird feeling too.)
But Steve, how do you NO about the Geri Halliwell biography? *turns red* Now seriously, did I mention it in this topic somewhere? Oh my poor brain. Haha, but you NO when I was 15 it was like the first real thick English book I ever read and it turned out to be quite interesting (No matter how many of the things in there were true or not...you never know with such books.).
Now that my exams are done I will finally be able to read the rest of “Summer´s child”. I read half of the book months ago and then had to stop ´cause of studying. I am looking forward to read all the rest of it.
Hey everyone...since it IS October...what´s new about Cecelia´s new book? Wasn´t it supposed to be published this month. I will have to check that.

Steve, it´s soooooo wonderful that you finally got to read all the books, too. I´m really glad that you like them as much as we do.
I had a look at Cecelia´s official site the other day and they have a photo there of her together with some of the actors at the set of PS, I love you. I was wondering, when she´s been at the set, is she ok then with what they are doing with her book? Well, ok, we don´t no for sure if they´re really gonna change the story in the way that we all thought, but as it really looks like that I was thinking what she´s thinking about it....

"A place called here", her new book is available on Amazon now. I already added it to my X-Mas wish list and hope my parents will get the hint! Hihi.
I did not see that photo you mentioned yet but I´ll have a look at her website.
Yes, if you ask me Cecelia has to agree with what they´re making out of her book anyway or else she´d not have sold the rights to shoot the movie...and I guess she also has something to say when it comes to making decisions and changes...though maybe she did not expect such drastic changes, but we don´t know. Yet after all I guess it is most important to her that the message of the book and the feelings that it creates will not be lost.

Yes, James played Spike in Buffy. So I think no matter which character he´ll play in this movie, it´ll be very different from what we are used to seeing James play. A friend of mine even suggested him playing Richard...haha, that´d be fun.
I did not read anything about as to when the movie is going to be in cinemas, neither do I have any news on "If you could see me now".

Hihi, Caro if you look at what I posted above you will see that her new book "A place called here" is available on Amzon and in bookstores now! So if you want to, you can get it. I put it on my wishlist for Christmas and hope my parents or my brother will get the hint! Hihi. The cover is so lovely by the way, beautiful design. Btw, I know that Sabine already received her copy of the book.
Yes, I also think that another actor may have been better to play John but I could not really think of James playing any other character.
I mean, I kind of have to agree with you Caro, IF James was about twenty years younger, he´d be the perfect choise for playing Declan. But well, he seriously is too old by now.
But well, in 2008 we´ll see the movie and then we can gossip as much as we want, hihi. I have no idea how I will be able to wait until 2008!!! Ah! But we sure have to go see the movie together!!! I mean, all of us!
